Too soon?
Probably wasn't allowed to enter Mexico.  They actually take their inbound borders seriously.

Video. The car was going way too fast and went airborne before crashing. Didn’t contain explosives. Whether it was deliberate or not, terrorist or not, suicide or just stupid speeding, I don’t think they know yet.

Update:

I parsed out the important parts:

In a tragic incident that unfolded at the border between the United States and Canada, a 56-year-old New York businessman and his wife lost their lives when their $300,000 Bentley "Flying Spur" crashed into the US checkpoint, erupting into flames.

New York Governor Kathy Hochul, addressing the incident, stated that there was no indication of terrorism, calming concerns about potential threats. Police sources reported that no explosives were found in the vehicle.

The couple, who had briefly visited the Seneca Niagara casino resort, was en route to a Kiss concert in Canada when the accident occurred.

According to sources, the couple's visit to the casino was brief, lasting only minutes.

Reports suggest that the driver, hailing from a well-known family in Grand Isle, New York, may have experienced a medical issue, leading to the dramatic crash.

Eyewitness accounts described the vehicle hurtling towards the Canadian border at high speed, resulting in a fiery crash. The car, reportedly exceeding 100mph, left a trail of wreckage and a massive fireball.

The footage of the crash has been described as "extraordinary," depicting the vehicle soaring over an eight-foot fence before igniting into a massive fireball.

I'm picturing her giving him driving advice,
And him getting fed up.

NEW: Kurt & Monica Villani have been identified as the two people who were killed in the Rainbow Bridge crash at the U.S.-Canada border.

The couple was allegedly driving a $300k Bentley on their way to a KISS concert.

Friends say the couple had been having problems with the gas pedal on the car just weeks before the fatal crash.

Villani and his wife lived in Grand Island, New York just 10 miles from where the crash happened.

Bentley has not yet commented on the crash but family friends of Villani say he was having a problem with the accelerator.

The Villani family owned Gui's Lumber and had a tradition of handing out turkeys on Thanksgiving and were featured on the news in 2014 for handing out 250 turkeys.

By flying car.  Last words: "As God as my witness I thought turkeys could fly."

Call me crazy, but that would make me park it until the mechanics figured it out.
