Those who have served, and are serving this country have my deepest respect.

Now that I'm much older I often think what would have been different had I entered the military.  My father was in the Navy in Korea and Viet Nam.  My grandfather served in the field artillery in WWI.  I ask my wife (who had an ex in the armored cav) and her friends (one who had a Topgun ex, and another who had a Corps of Engineers ex) and they unanimously say I would not have done well there.  In any capacity. I asked my father as I prepared to graduate from high school and he said go to college and get a degree in computer science.  No military, no way.   I still wonder, but it's probably best that I went another path.

Sometimes I look back fondly on my service days.

Those who fought and died haunt me to this day.

The ones who came back a shell where a whole man once lived will haunt me until I die.

My prayers are always for those suffering from the nightmares of their sacrifice and service.

May the fucking cowards and criminals of the MIC and their corrupt facilitators in government burn in hell for all eternity.

Like you I would not have done well at all. But I have a sister who was in the Army and she did very well and enjoyed it. But in many ways she is the opposite of me. She is hard as nails. Very direct, no-nonsense, physically athletic, and a good leader.  I am too agreeable, not very athletic, not a leader but not a follower either. I’m an independent worker.  Can’t stand to be ordered around but can’t stand to order others either.  I thrive being left the hell alone. I don’t think I would have lasted a day in the military.  And I thank God for those who can and do.

Yeah, all those non-woke recent veterans deserve to be spit on because of their leadership.  I agree!  Fuck-em.  I suppose Seal Team Six is just a bunch of woke pussies too.

Whatever, figures, you'd interpret it like that.  Yes, let's spit on them.   ::)

Joe makes huge leaps and conclusions regularly, bless his heart. I’m reminded of the old saw when a liberal responds to a conservative saying that the citizenry shouldn’t be taxed to pay for public television when it didn’t represent their views. “SO YOU DON’T LIKE BIG BIRD!??”

Joe isn’t a liberal, but he has that knee jerk thing going.

I think he meant woke, not non-woke.  The recent woke.  Although even if you’re a tranny in the military I wouldn’t spit on you. I would just worry you were a diversity hire and that might affect the security of the nation and by extension, ME.

Actually, I just got sick of people twisting what I say and putting words in my mouth so I thought I'd adopt the strategy.
Those that did it to me seem to hate it when I do it to them.
