Beside his party losing the popular vote, Justin Trudeau will remain the Prime Minister of Canada.  Oh Canada  :-\

I don't know anything about Canada. Are their liberals as bad as our liberals?

When someone does bad things and you reward them, you should not be surprised when they up the ante.  He's about to get worse.

It was a close thing. The natives are restless. But then again, Canada is essentially irrelevant to pretty much anything.

Their "conservatives" are LEFT of our Progressives.  However, most of them believe in a secure border for their country.  I've done business in Canada for a long time and dated a Canadian woman for a while.  Yes, she was a "liberal" but not a crazy one, and was pragmatic.  She told me Canadians are very liberal, but practical also.

They never rebelled like we did, so accept big government solutions and control over everything.

Socialism might work better there than in the states, where we might have a more stratified demographic. I admit I haven't studied it much.
