I guess they don't want YOU to choose which charity they support, they want to only give to the woke organizations they support. I had been giving to the NRA through the program. Was surprised they even had that on the list.

Exactly. They don't want you to support what you want. They want you to support what THEY want. "OUR ability to make an impact..."
However, after almost a decade, the program has not grown to create the impact that we had originally hoped. With so many eligible organizations—more than 1 million globally—our ability to have an impact was often spread too thin.

Most charities seem to be a way to funnel money to execs and support their own infrastructure. Very few actually spend the majority of the money coming in to support the causes they say they will. Want to make a greater impact in your community than most of these charities ever will? Call your local school and pay off some students outstanding lunch accounts.

We mostly don’t donate to registered charities. We give directly to people who need it. For example a neighbor’s house burned down last week. They lost everything. We got gift debit cards and gave them to them anonymously. No tax write off. Our accountant must think we’re awful.

It's amazing those people aren't held accountable by more than folks like us.

Obviously when they can tell (no, demand) powerful corporate CEOs how they’ll spend their money, they’re above accountability.
