Typical story of anti-competitive behavior by large established companies using the law to try and squelch competition - https://aeroxplorer.com/articles/how-southwest-took-over-dallas-love-field-airport.php

When I read your title, I initially thought you were going to be critical of Southwest.

The only thing that surprises me is that the Wright Amendment wasn’t held to be an unconstitutional restraint of trade. It was arbitrary and capricious, and damaged a single airline.

Fucking governments.

Our Governments and the Courts care little about the Constitution anymore.  They want to bring back the Fuedal System.  It's a joke today and only Revolution can fix it.

Our Governments and the Courts care little about the Constitution anymore.

In California that's literally demonstrably true.  I imagine conversations like this in the legislature:

"Wait--this new law may be unconstitutional."

"Who the hell cares?  Even if it is unconstitutional, it will be on the books for at least a few years, and that will be long enough to accomplish our goal."
