In today's newpaper there was an article (opinion piece?) about the ACLU issued a statement in recognition of the 1 year anniversary of RBG.
In it they change "women" to "person"
The original quote was "the decision whether or not to bear a child is central to a woman's life, to her dignity..."
changed to "the decision whether or not to bear a child is central to a person's life, to their dignity..."
etc etc etc

Furthermore that’s a lie. The left only wants women to have that choice. (As they ironically remove women from the statement). A man cannot decide he doesn’t want to be saddled with 18 years of child support and force a woman to abort his child, nor can he decide he wants the baby and force her to have the child. As far as I know there is no state or federal law extending the right to choose to males. So changing it to “person” is totally disingenuous unless by that they mean transgenders that don’t want to be referred to as women but still end up with a baby in their uterus.
“My body my choice” should apply equally to men. Working to pay child support is bodily slave labor. Or maybe he wants the child who would be “central to his life and dignity.” Total double standard. At least RBG was honest about the double standard. I don’t see “men’s rights” listed as a concern on the ACLU website.

This is why we are seeing book banning, statues removed and the constitution being labeled as “dangerous content”. Also school curriculums are de-emphasizing history.
The democrat communist want all references to their racism, their hate groups, their murders and lynchings of blacks, their records of fighting against civil rights, etc erased and forgotten.
Furthermore, they want all references to our founding fathers and the fight for independence removed. Anything that shows American strength and independence is not acceptable.

I’m starting to notice the term “equity” being replace with “equity of outcome”. VERY telling. Equity of outcome has nothing to do with equal rights. It’s Marxist redistribution. It is now openly promoted.

Penn (and nearly every other university) is so cloistered in their leftist mindset that they have no understanding that they are abandoning all hope for possible donations from 50% of their alumni.

Yep. I stopped donating years ago when I realized they were radically, far left anti American. All universities, for the most part (there are few exceptions) now are just Indoctrinating with this crap and it's working. Many if not most college kids and grads are essentially Marxists.

Most science and engineering majors are still male. Women are getting their degrees in non-STEM fields.

I’m not sure about that. I think that’s the old paradigm.
At US veterinary schools, women are 75-80% of the classes. At my daughter’s Mississippi State College of Vet. Medicine, I believe there were 12 men in a class of 84 students.
I just looked up states on medical school and in 2019 women comprised 50.5% of med students.
Accounting graduates always hover around 50% each. I know that’s not really a STEM degree, but it’s not a degree in Asian poetry either.
