Styx says he’s doing that so often now that Styx is going to have to become the Biden gaff show. But this is the worst one yet. The sad thing is, I doubt it was deliberate although there will probably be some idiot voters that believe it. The guy is going downhill very fast. We’re going to end up with Kamala before 2024. That’s what they want you to think. They want you to give up. They are actually on the defensive right now, which is why the danger of a Final Solution is so great. It’s the only card they have left. But there’s actually a lot going for our side. IF - and it’s a big IF - we really do have a red wave in November and many of the Republicans are MAGA and actually do something for once, we might start to reverse this.
Yes there is a deep state, but Trump quietly appointed a lot of judges and we are seeing the results. Some states have fixed election problems, gun control is being pushed back, people are waking up to the lunacy of the woke far left. The Democrat Party is on the verge of self destruction, or grabbing dictatorship, or (best case scenario) finally having a come-to-Jesus moment and realizing they’ve lost their way and need to reconstitute themselves into a party that actually works for the people instead of the elite.
One of those three things will happen sooner or later and grabbing dictatorship is not necessarily the inevitable one. The last thing we need to do now is give up hope. Storming the beaches of Normandy was hell but what if those guys had said oh well my buddies are being shot, it’s all over with, we’ve lost the war.
We are facing abysmal times, a worldwide economic depression, possible extensive war (again) and severe long term problems but that is the ongoing nature of life on earth. The worst possible reaction is to become despondent. We need to remain engaged, determined, and courageous.

Feelings aren’t wrong. I often feel the same way. Actions are what matters. As long as you don’t, for example, decide it’s not worth going to vote, you’re perfectly fine.

I will act and I will vote but you have to admit just voting is no longer the answer. Democrat Voter Fraud, Establishment RINO Republicans (Lucifer's UniParty) etc., just make me realize that more action than voting and even political activism is required to change the direction of the U.S. Legal, civil action of course. ::)

Wait til after the midterms. If Kari Lake wins despite the cheating, that’s a good sign. They can only cheat so much, and we are wise to it now. If they manage to cheat so much they take Senate seats for instance, we are in deep doo doo and the only non-violent option left is convention of states. We have to exhaust all legal avenues before going off the rails. Remember they WANT us to get violent - that will justify absolute persecution. They are laying the groundwork for that by calling all MAGA supporters “domestic terrorists”. Do NOT play into their hand!

Recently I’ve been hearing Rush Limbaugh commercials on Tucker’s show pitching some “best of” recordings or something. EVERY TIME my wife and I hear his voice again, we get sad and long for the days when, even on the darkest days, we left his show feeling upbeat, energized, and optimistic.
No radio or TV host, living or to be born, will replace that. But DAMN, RUSH, I love your optimism! You are channeling Rush Limbaugh.

Not a lefty show by today’s (twisted) standards - one episode had Radar asking for help with um er Hawkeye prompted him with “women questions?” and Radar didn’t admit it, then Hawkeye asked “guy?” and of course Radar said NO. (this is what gets MASH in trouble) “Radar, there are only men and women “

In a previous season, he appeared in an episode not as Col Potter but as some General with dementia.

Last century, national politicians used to actually understood that sometimes you have to compromise to get something done, including getting veto-proof majorities on a given bill. So the president usually signed it instead of going through a veto override, and losing the high road by taking credit for something that they never would have signed if it was up to them. “Welfare to work” is an example of it. If I recall, the principles for it were in Newt’s Contract with America, it was passed by Congress two years later, and signed by Bill Clinton who proceeded to take credit for it.
That’s how the game was played.
Then came the 21st century, where Congress and national politics became more polarized than I had ever seen.
If they were not stupid and were skilled statesmen, which they are not, Republicans (provided they win one or both houses) would teach the country about the virtues of their bills, effectively shaming democrats and Biden to support it via public pressure.
So the UNiParty will continue to fuck us every possible way, and become multimillionaires as a result.

MASH is still my favorite TV show. I usually watch an episode in the evening while my wife is getting ready for bed.
It’s the only show my mother watches. We bought her the DVD set. She’s so deaf she can’t hear it and she can’t read subtitles but she knows all the episodes by heart so enjoys them. It’s the only thing she has watched for years now.
