My wife and our grown lib daughter are /were watching the award show tonight and my wife commented that the speeches tended to stay away from lecturing.
I didn't watch the rich assholes babbling bullshit about themselves.
Right on cue the tone changed, called by jessica chastain whining about discriminatory laws against lgbtquvwasappdq.
The bullshit liberal lies about Florida outlawing propagandizing trans and homosexual lifestyles to 4-8 year olds in public school has become one of the great scams of 2022.

We switched it off much to the outrage of our lib daughter who can't separate the child from the agenda.

This doesn’t excuse what Smith did. It was wrong and illegal. He should be charged with assault and battery. But it illustrates how females often manipulate males, which is not in the best interest of the man.

My understanding is Jada pushed it and Will complied because it was the only way he could keep her. Complying is being “ok” with it while not really being ok with it, which is a recipe for suppressed resentment and rage. He thought the joke was funny but the look on her face triggered the emotional powder keg simmering in him. So he lashed out at basically an innocent bystander. It’s Jada, not Chris Rock, that is Will Smith’s problem, but he can’t take it out on her; she’s got him by the balls.

I don’t think it was staged but I’m not surprised Chris Rock got a bump. Will might too. No publicity is bad publicity for these people. Will Smith’s punishment is only that he still has Jada, but that’s self inflicted.

Smirk of triumph, or smirk because he was about to laugh over the skit they just did? No publicity is bad for them, which is why to me this is staged. Oscar ratings plummeting? Let's stage a fight! Look up at how fight scenes are filmed. This slap hits almost every single parameter for an on screen hit.
While I'm no expert in hand to hand combat, I've been in more fights than I can count. Real fights that have led to ambulance rides to both parties. I've been trained by people with the last name of Gracie. This was bullshit.

I think Will laughing at the joke at first shows it wasn’t staged. If they had planned it, he would have pretended to be mad from the start. Jada’s reaction also looks genuine but then they are actors. However, if it had been planned, I think it’s unlikely they would have layered it like that. It would have simply been: Will gets mad. Instead, Will laughs, Jada gets mad, Jada glares, Will sees her, then Will decides to get mad. It’s possible they scripted it that convoluted but if they’d wanted to fancy it up that much, they would have done it with the altercation between Will and Chris because that’s where the audience’s attention was focused. Will lost control but not completely, he held back from starting a true fight. It was an open handed bitch slap and that’s all he intended.

Black on black violence doesn't exist in the minds on the left. Even if it does, it's still whitey's fault. If it was a white actor, he would have been removed, his Oscar revoked, and every movie or tv show they were in would have them edited out or a trigger warning put in at the beginning warning people they were in it. Then 100 accusers from the past accusing them of racist or assaultive behaviour and suing them for millions.
