Correct on all counts, and why Trump is popular. We all know 16 years of the Bush/Obama presidency has gotten us nowhere, and both sides continue to foist the same shit sandwich upon the populace.
I'm damned near ready to vote for Trump, as I feel we need to blow the place up, burn it down, and start over. Trump can certainly do no worse than the past 16 years of asshatery.
The melting pot you credit as an asset to our country is exactly what Trump and his followers seem to want to greatly restrict.So wrong as to not be in the same universe. Immigration does not equal illegal immigration, not the same.
Yup...... The (otherside) cannot handle the truth....While I understand where you're going with this sentiment, I will disagree with the term "reverse discrimination". IMHO, there is no such thing. There is only discrimination. Nit picky, yes, but I'm the one doing the picking so it applies

1- NAAWP / national assoc of the advancement of WHITE people
2- WHITE Entertainment Television
3- Miss WHITE America
4- American WHITE college fund
5- WHITE congressional caucus
Etc.etc etc...
Talking about reverse discrimination....
I say you and other successful blacks prove that blacks in general don't need welfare any more than whites do. But the truth is that there are too many people of both races that are on welfare that don't need to be.Frankly, I don't want to live in a society where my neighbor is in abject poverty, yet I don't think AA is still the best way. It was a good band aid and brought some attention to the issue but it has its downfall. I think it's outlived its usefulness.
The fact that you and other blacks are successful is a positive and hopeful sign. But the shame is that there are going to be people that believe at least part of your success is due to affirmative action and quotas rather than skill and ability.
Liberalism is also responsible for keeping poor people poor and for pitting the classes against each other. And liberals are responsible for trying to destroy the careers of many successful conservative blacks. Liberals like to blame "greedy rich white people" for keeping poor people poor, but those (greedy rich white) people are only responsible for making themselves rich. Except for the criminal element that exists in all classes, those rich people aren't the reason poor people are poor.

Regardless, since the president gets to choose, and the president was duly elected by a majority of the electorate, time to suck it up and realize the system is likely working exactly as it was designed to.
I wonder how Thomas will function without Scalia to give him his opinion.
If Obama was clever, which is unlikely, he will nominate a highly respected moderate. That will put the GOP in a real bind. Do they approve the moderate or do they risk losing the WH and the Senate, in which case Scalia will be replaced by a flaming liberal which will really shift the SCOTUS.
