I'm struck by the we-are-all-going-to-die-this-is-absolutely-the-worst-virus-possible crap. The magnitude of the pessimism is stunning. Nothing is ever positive, everything is viewed in the worst possible light, extra points for gross exaggerations (but God forbid you call anyone on it!).
I know "pollyanna" is an excessively cheerful/optismitic person. What's opposite of pollyanna?

Stupid.

That's the same thing.

The opposite of Pollyanna would be catastrophic thinking.
But here you go, here’s some optimism:

I would have expected that video to be the shortest one on YT

Democrats (Progressives/Marxists) live in a fantasy world. Their leaders know all their fantasies are neither possible nor ever work, but they've brainwashed the useful idiots into believing their lies. Like the utter doom and gloom of this Virus nonsense. The Media is SO one sided that it is sickening and causing a lot of our problems. They are criminally negligent.
Pollyanna? Dystopian is more like it. This is a freak show.

You could have just written “stupid” and been just as correct.

I don't know, 2020 has been a great year for me. The job has kept rolling along, I've flown more this year than years past, have enjoyed a big uptick in other hobbies that I enjoy, and have enjoyed multiple vacations. The only bummer for me this year is the election and political scene. But really, I'm not changing a thing based on the bug.

I have to agree with this. The "social distancing" rules gave me a good excuse to avoid big parties I never liked anyway. And my brokerage account is larger than ever.
The worst parts were avoiding good restaurants and having to wear that damn mask. They fogged my glasses, got caught in my hearing aids and made it even more difficult for me to understand people, especially when they are also hiding behind a big plexiglass shield.

The foreign and domestic people that are pulling the strings aren't stupid. Neither are the Democrat leaders doing their bidding. This is purposeful, systematic and planned. The useful idiots that vote for their lies are stupid.

I've watched this year as friend's businesses that were thriving be decimated. I've watched family members get laid off and called back with reduced hours. And I've seen people being told they can't get medical procedures done because Covid was more important, and because of Covid the medical facilities had to be emptied out "just in case".
People I know in the oil and gas industry are concerned about the possible incoming administration. The US being energy independent will go away, regulations to make oil exploration and fracking all but impossible and a huge shift to off shore once again.

Anything, ANYTHING, they can do to export American wealth abroad.

Anything, ANYTHING, they can do to export American wealth abroad... more specifically, the wealth of OTHER people - not their own wealth.

I’m sitting in the middle of a bunch of refineries, literally, all around me here, the people here are terrified of a “Biden” presidency. Their jobs and by extension all the local economy is dependent on it.

I have a friend that does a lot of work in the oil industry. He has been working 12 hour days, 7 days a week for about 6 months straight now in order to get bills paid/stash cash with the belief he will have a forced retirement or serious cut down in work in the coming years.

Biden and Harris have made it abundantly clear they don’t like fossil fuel. They also made it clear they’ll regulate it to the point of not being worth pursuing in the US, which will offshore production.

And thus kick the low income Democratic voting base right in the teeth, harming the very people they purport to champion.

They only use them. “Useful idiots”.
The dims need people they can make dependent on them to keep power. LBJ figured that out with the black vote.
This is why in the past year the dims have been on a crusade to destroy the middle class and put more into poverty.

After all, we'll all just switch to electric cars. No need to burn fossil fuels. Just plug everything into your house outlet.
This is sooooo simple.

They can always learn to code ::)

Have a friend in TX that runs fracing crews as a contractor. He works like three weeks on and three weeks off.

He'll be getting a permanent vacation after January 20th. His Fraudulancy says fracking must be done away with.
