What a letdown – you libs were totally promised that you and your elite cohort would rule forever, unchallenged, over the filthy hordes infesting America’s non-coastal regions, and then all of a sudden those nasty Normals got militant and elected Donald Trump. It’s not fair, damnit! And it just gets worse and worse as things in America, under Trump, get better and better.

Crowley lost to Ocasio-Cortez because he did not campaign (he felt he was a shoe in as usual) and his district has become more Hispanic over time. She actively campaigned and built a grass roots network.

You might be right. But it is that attitude that scares the shit out of me. Just as Dems didn't take Trump seriously, and therefore lost, I am afraid that too many Republicanss aren't taking the snowflake snowstorm that is coming, seriously. We sit here and laugh at the Dems, just as the hare laughed at the turtle. Don't underestimate the unintelligible and irrational voices in their heads that keep telling them that Trump and all Republicans are evil and must be eradicated from office. Rational arguments like Constitutionalist Supreme Court Justices and a thriving economy bounce off of them. All a good economy means to them is that BHO saved us and we now have enough money to support everyone that does not support themselves, including hordes of illegal immigrants.

When the Far Left, Progressive policies of the Democrats FAIL, they rationalize that they are not Far Left enough. The Democrats are revealing themselves for what they really are in their desperation, and panic. They are anti American Communists. This Hispanic woman is for turning the U.S. into Venezuela, or Cuba. The illegals, and legals that voted for her just want more free stuff from government. There is no sense of contributing to society, nor working to improve oneself.
More, and more there is a clear divide in what America should be, and who is the enemy of freedom, and liberty.

Yes, the Alt Left Progressives of the democrat party will vote and are seeking the termination of anything resembling republican or conservative.
And the Alt Left radical Progressives have hijacked the democrat party, we know that.
But when you study American politics and political parties, you will see that both major parties have far end ideologues that basically work under the same premise.
It's the people in the middle of the spectrum that actually decide elections, these are the "forgotten" that reside in the middle of the country. They are both republican and democrat, but in reality they share many of the same values.
The DNC is in full meltdown and is broke. And it's being run by the Alt Left radical progressives and being legitimized by the MSM. Although the MSM wants everyone to believe the party is still relevant, it's not. As this hysteria continues to grow and get more bizarre more and more moderate democrats are silently moving away from the party.
Right now the alt left is doing more for the re election of President Trump and the further control of both houses by the republicans.

I don’t think Conservatives will sit out the November election. To the contrary, we recoil at being called Nazis, racists, or liars, and the more crazy the left gets, the more emboldened the silent majority will become, as happened in November 2016.
A two month long battle for the Kennedy replacement will laser focus the importance of turnout to secure the judicial branch, and the right will respond.
I never put it past the GOP to totally fuck things up, like acquiescing to Schumer and looking like Dem Lite, but I think the electorate on the right, especially those of us in the middle of the country, is being wildly underestimated.

We might see a electoral college shift in 2020 for the 2024 elections. TX is growing like a weed. So is NM. Doubt that would affect the election much though.
