Merry Christmas, all. Thanks for posting, caring when any of our PilotSpin soldiers are down, and standing firm against attacks on civilization. Except Steingar, who seems to relish them. But even to you, Steingar, Merry Christmas.

On Fox they’ve been playing Rush’s sign off on Christmas weeks before he died. The message was “Don’t despair.”  It chokes me up a little.

I'm spending Christmas Eve and staying over for Christmas at my girlfriend's parents in South Jersey. I'm older than her parents. Lol!  And yes I met them already over Thanksgiving.

If we never hear from you again we’ll know it didn’t go well…

Lol Stan but I'm only half Italian.  The Dad's a Bourbon drinker also and I'm bringing him a bottle of double oak aged Woodford Reserve. Can't miss.

But, yeah, N7. I will be missing for a while if it goes South.

Our family christmas got all messed up this year. Wife got covid earlier this week, so no hosting tonight. My cousin's 2 month old grandson is in the hospital with RSV. My other cousin the ER nurse got called in yesterday and was told to expect to stay all weekend. Yesterday the storm caused a 50 car accident on the Ohio Turnpike with 4 deaths 10 miles from us and another 20 car accident 5 miles from us. That's not including dozens of smaller accidents all over. Been stuck indoors over 24 hours now. Time to start day drinking.

It's so cold in Florida today that I am in serious danger of having to wear long sleeves....

Yeah, I had the pool running all night to keep the water in the pipes from freezing.

We were in Florida 2 weeks ago and my 5 year old wanted to move there because he could swim in December.

I had the cold water pipe that feeds the guest bath tub and the kitchen faucet freeze up. Got it thawed out and running again, nothing split and I got some insulation stuffed in where it was missing that allowed it to happen. Also sprayed expanding foam where the dryer vent exits the house. Should be good now.

Was seven degrees when I got up, looks like we peaked at twenty-four.

Marry Christmas everyone, have a wonderful however you celebrate.
We are having our traditional Pepperidge Farm turnovers for breakfast, going to church and then going across town to my youngest son's house to celebrate with them. Dinner will be Chinese.

The whole crowd is coming to our house in shifts as church lets out today.
My poor wife is in her glory cooking up a storm.

Merry Christmas!  It's finally clear and the wind has died down.  Snow has stopped drifting and it's a cold but beautiful day.  I wish everyone all the best.

All our relatives back east had power outages in the last couple of days.  Today they’re okay, all driving around and celebrating with each other.  We are just hanging out here in Texas.  We damn sure weren’t going to try to fly anywhere.

My son woke us up at 3:45 saying Santa brought him a bike. We told him to go back to bed, but gave up at 6:00 because he kept asking what time it was every 15 minutes. Now he's extremely tired and cranky. I just took the prime rib out to rest before I sear it. Should be filling my belly in 45 minutes. Then nap time for all.

I was just telling my husband that Christmas just isn't the same without little kids.
