Pilot Zone / Re: What I Am Doing on my Summer Vacation

At Osh:

I taught Origami to more folks than I know.  Apparently one of them was Lucifer, can't recall teaching any crusty old guys.  Set up and struck the tent, too.

I had to dress down a couple guys after they left their really young daughters in the tent with no supervision sans yours truly.

I scrambled 70 dozen eggs at the Camp Scholler breakfast, run by the EAA chapters.

And I think I found a new airplane to fly.  I think.

And that tip about 294 around Chicago turned bad.  I hit more traffic on 294 than there was going through Chicago, way more.

Take the 294 loop around Chicago. All Chicago traffic sucks, but usually that's the better route. I'm leaving the Sandusky area around 5ish hoping that by the time I get to Chicago the morning commute has lessened.

I was planning on taking something around Chicago, thanks for the tip. Have a safe drive.

Driving to the show tomorrow.  First time driving ever.  I'll be in the craft tent teaching Origami all week.

The Federal government can't predict everything that will come of climate change nor its effects on Americans.  Good example is the outbreak real of fires in Alberta.  Now you might say that Alberta is in Canada and doesn't affect the US, and while you're geographically correct your conclusions are dead wrong.  The smoke from those fires wound up in the US East Coast and midwest, and the air quality plummeted to the point where I promise it interfered with economic activity. Can't say how much, but it did.

I asked a simple question.   What is the baseline, and how are we measuring just how much impact man is contributing to climate change?

It doesn't matter what the answer is, you won't believe it.  All you'll do is insult whoever gives it and try and bully them if they persist.

Oh, sorry NOW it’s the fault of the doj that baby hunter is convicted of a felony weapons charge.

Baby hunter couldn’t possibly be guilty of anything…because that’s why he pled guilty, to prove he was innocent.

He pled guilty to a pair of tax-related misdemeanors. The felony gun charge was subject to a pretrial diversion, whatever that actually means. I think what it means is he won't be charged with a felony weapons count, but what he still has to do to avoid said charge isn't all that clear.

The sad thing is a lot of poor people plead guilty for stuff they didn't do just to avoid the timed money needed to deal with courts.

Apparently witnesses don’t mean anything. There were 1000 witnesses with sworn affidavits that the 2020 election was fraudulent.  It is beyond question that Hillary did far worse with taking home classified documents than Trump and she wasn’t President so had no authority to.  Nothing happened in either of those cases. This is differential enforcement, they’re going after Trump because he is the presumed nominee for 2024 and they don’t have the balls yet to outright assassinate him.

There were about a zillion witnesses who said otherwise.  Most of the "affidavits" weren't worth the paper they were written on, and all the lawsuits were merrily laughed out of court for lack of evidence.

The reason they're going after Trump is they have very solid evidence that he committed some fairly serious crimes.  Still, he is a citizen and deserves the assumption of innocence until proven guilty just like any other citizen.  I just hope that someone as famous (or perhaps infamous) as him can get a fair trial. Celebrities have been in and out of courtrooms for many years, and jurors seem to be very sober about their responsibilities, at least in my experience.

See… I distinctly saw news that the convict biden PLED GUILTY to those charges.

I guess being a criminal democrat means that doesn’t count… if you’re the POS.

It's called a plea agreement, the defendant agrees to do certain actions (like plead guilty) and the court agrees to certain actions (like not throwing him in jail).  You'll no doubt be astonished to know that the majority of cases end this way, since trying people in court takes time and money the courts don't have.

Just like it was intended to do.  I truly believe that it was a manufactured (or enhanced) virus intentionally released into the wild to have the effect that it did.  Remove Trump.  Increase people's dependency on the government.  Suppress all dissenting voices. Usher in the new world order.  Lather, rinse, repeat until they get the results they want.

And no doubt a PhD Geneticist telling you it was a naturally occurring virus that got out of control won't change your mind in the slightest.  Just like vaccines and autism. Don't know why I bother.

84 witnesses, 37 felony counts.  Only way this is going away is if he can claw his way back into the White House.  Could happen too.  The one thing he said that was absolutely true was when he claimed that he could shoot someone in the head on 5th avenue and his followers would still support him.

Congress raised the debt limit three times for Trump.  Don't recall you guys crying over it then.
