We eat crustaceans all the time, lobsters and crabs, and they're just jumped up insects.  There are cultures where insects are a nutritious treat.  Not that I plan on doing it any time soon...

I can't even eat the damn seafood, aggravates my gout.

What I do know is these sorts of weapons charges aren't usually prosecuted unless said weapon is used in a crime.  Usually.  I suspect that most of this stuff is pretty petty-ante for a federal prosecutor, I think they usually do drug stuff. 

What I also know is I didn't sleep through my Civics class like you guys, and I know a bit about how our justice system works.  Sadly none of you have evinced that ability, as witnessed by people assuming the defendant's guilt not because they have any access to the evidence but because of who the defendant's father is.

The IRS would much rather get your money than put you in jail, the only people I've heard of who went to jail for tax evasion wouldn't or couldn't pay.  As for the weapons charge, that usually only comes into play when the weapon is used to commit a crime.  I think the government settled because they'd have had a hard time winning the case and knew it.

I'm on the motorcycle today (just came back from an Epic three week motorcycle trip in Eastern Canada!).  Why not walk?  The air quality is dangerous, unprecedented where I live.  Why?  Fires in Alberta.  Since when does Alberta burn?  Now.  I saw the areas burned in Nova Scotia.  How does a wet place like Nova Scotia burn?

I hoped things wouldn't get this bad in my lifetime. They're going to get worse.  Way worse.

I hit some toll roads in NY on my way back from Canada.  There was a number I was supposed to call, a little difficult when riding a hi-tone race motorcycle.  Once I stopped I forgot completely.  Might be interesting to see what NY decides to do about it.  I'd call now but I forget the number.
