And by racism I mean white racism against others, mostly blacks. Yes. It still exists.
It isn't nearly as rampant and accepted as it was when I was a kid, but it still exists.
It is rejected, at least outwardly in almost every segment of society.
Blacks have more opportunity than ever before. In (arguably) rare cases, blacks even receive more opportunity. But denying that racism does still exist does nothing to fix the racial problems we still have.
On the other hand, rioting, looting, burning and hating doesn't fix the problem either. As the meme said, that conduct does not help dispel the stereotypes they claim are false.
I like what they are doing in the Daytona Beach George Floyd demonstrations. White people, INCLUDING WHITE POLICE, are joining the demonstrations and holding signs. My favorite was the one that said "it isn't black against white, it is US against Racists". There are gathering points to start and routes for the march. And a site for the final "closing ceremony". But the police also have a rather strong enforcement presence. There is little chance for this to turn into a violent riot. (I hope).
The police chief has denounced the killing of George Floyd and announced that racism should not be acceptable and covered up and at the same time he denounced the violent protests. We will see how it goes, but it does give me hope.
But then I turn on the MSM news or read an MSM paper or website, and I get all riled up and hateful again.

Joe, do you also agree that black on white racism is prevalent?
Do you believe that we can acknowledge racism exists without needing to apologize for being white, or apologize for racists who happen to be white?
Do you believe white people need to go on bended knee and feel bad for something called “white privilege?”
-
Joe, do you also agree that black on white racism is prevalent?
Yes. Definitely.
Do you believe that we can acknowledge racism exists without needing to apologize for being white, or apologize for racists who happen to be white?
Absolutely.
Do you believe white people need to go on bended knee and feel bad for something called “white privilege?”
Not at all.
Now, a question for you; Do you acknowledge that white on black racism still exists and that it is wrong?
-
Yes. Definitely.
Absolutely.
Not at all.
Now, a question for you; Do you acknowledge that white on black racism still exists and that it is wrong?
Of course it exists, and of course it’s wrong.
The reason I asked these questions is that the running narrative, in the MSM and in your post, that whitey is bad. I’m certain that’s not what you meant to do, but by repeating the white on black racism narrative, you are perpetuating the one-sided anger, and one-sided guilt, that we are al hearing.
I am not a racist. I am not a racist due to the pigment with which I was born. I am not a racist because I was born white and some people think I had some privilege because of it. I am not a racist, and will not apologize for not taking a knee because I’m white. I don’t accept the current narrative that
I am.

Racism will always exist against Blacks and others. However, the Media and Democrats are making it seem MUCH WORSE than it really is. This is purposeful to divide us and create a fake need for MORE GOVERNMENT and more taxes. I don't know anyone whom is racist against Blacks and I know a lot of people. It is just not the problem they want you to think it is.

Yup.
But, I'm not sure about the "mostly blacks" part.
My favorite was the one that said "it isn't black against white, it is US against Racists".
That's one of my favorites too.

That was part of my point when I said that I get all riled up and hateful when I turn on the MSM. They exploit every little situation and turn it into breaking news.

I do know quite a few racists. Some of them are family members (inlaws) and almost all of them (family members and otherwise) are staunch democrats. They talk a good line and accuse Republicans of being racist, but when caught off guard, they will use the N word and denigrate blacks when they see a thug on the street or on tv. To me, that is the worst kind of racism.
-
Some of the most Racist people are Blacks, however. Many openly admit they vote for Black politicians PURELY because they are Black. Many also say they distrust White people.
-
What ever happened to the word bigotry, that is the correct word to use.

If it is rejected by almost every segment of society, who is racist?

perhaps there are some people who are racist, rather than it being a cutural thing.
Of course, there are people who think that everything is about the color of their skin... as if the world revolves around their skin color.

I didn't say every person in every segment rejects racism.

Like Obama and others just like him.
