Pressure Mounting For Candace Owens To Grow A Beard

Quote
NASHVILLE, TN — With the success of Matt Walsh and the newly-bearded Ben Shapiro, pressure is mounting at The Daily Wire headquarters for popular conservative commentator Candace Owens to grow a beard of her own.

"Our incoming data shows a tremendous popularity of beards among our audience," said Lois Fonecharger, marketing analyst for The Daily Wire. "Beards seem to add a certain level of gravitas to someone's argument. Matt Walsh would be powerless without his beard, and there's no denying the surge of attention Ben's new beard is causing online. Some feedback is even saying Ben could pass for 17 years old now instead of 12! We're inching toward a company-wide directive that all on-camera talent grow beards."

While many of the famous faces of The Daily Wire seem to be embracing beard growth as a new pillar of the media company's future plans, some have been more hesitant. "Candace Owens isn't sold on the idea, mainly because she's a woman and unable to grow a beard," said Owens's personal assistant Savanna Jacoby. "I don't really see how covering half of her face with a beard will be beneficial in any way, but she's always a team player and willing to give it a try."

At publishing time, Owens was believed to be moving forward with the plan, even going as far as to set up times to record promo spots for sponsors advertising beard balms and oils, though it is not known at this time what effect this new initiative may have on The Daily Wire's long-standing relationship with Jeremy's Razors.

. It’s ironic since the Daily Wire franchise is also selling their own razor line.

I gotta admit Ben Shapiro looks way, way better now.  He needs to stop right about there, it’s the right length.  Walsh’s is too long for my taste.  I like the in between.  More than a five o’clock shadow but less than an actual beard.  My hubby just grew one in that category.  Now he is even sexier than before.

I love the expression on Owen’s face in that pic.  Babylon Bee has a talent for choosing perfect facial expressions to go with all their headlines.

I had a beard in college, and had a mustache until 2001.

Last year I started growing a beard for “movember” and realized it’s now pretty white. No thank you, so I shaved it off.

I’ve been shaving my head for 3 years now, and presume my hair would be white as well.  Better just to keep shaving that shit off and not see my age.

one advantage of old age:  as our vision goes, we can't see the wrinkles etc as easily....

Hubby’s head has no hair either but it came naturally.  The beard is salt and pepper.  As for me and grey/white hair, I don’t even know how far gone I am and I don’t want to know.  I started dying it at the first streak at one temple and I’ve been doing it ever since.

I shave my head, too. I'm starting to getting white chest hairs. My wife wants to pluck those. Told her I will break her arms if she tries. It's bad enough when she goes for the ears.

Maybe the ugly guy who calls himself michelle obama should grow a beard to proudly proclaim his identity...

My wife stated that I would not be allowed anywhere near her should I have facial hair.  Smooooooth every day.

Was that statement made before or after the wedding vows?  ;D

My opinion is that beards are nice on other women’s husbands.

I used to like clean shaven but my husband had a mustache when we first married.  Then one day he said, “If I shave off the mustache will you let me go get my pilot’s license?”   I said, “It’s a deal.”  Years later he told me he was going to shave off the stache anyway, and I told him I wanted him to get his PPL anyway.

I dated a guy who had a beard and mustache. We never talked about them really. One night he picked me up to go to a play. At intermission, he started laughing. I said “What???” He replied, “You haven’t noticed?”

He was completely clean shaven. I had not noticed.

That sounds like something a man would do.

Well before.  She says that she doesn't like scratchy, so I'm happy to accommodate.  It's best not to take a chance.

That is a real thing.  I can't kiss Mark if he has a five o'clock shadow because I will break out in cold sores.  If the hairs are a little longer it's not so stiff and anyway it's not like we make out like teenagers anymore.  I get cold sores at any irritation, dental instruments rubbing the corners of my lips, staying in the sun too long, getting salty or spicy food all over my lips.  I've been getting them since I was 7 years old and strongly suspect I got them from a dentist with "Herpetic Whitlow" on his fingers.  They didn't use gloves back then!  Praise the Lord for Valtrex, one thing I do not begrudge Big Pharma profiting from.

Speaking of beards, when my wife and I visited Pinedale Wyoming we visited the Museum of the Mountain Man (https://museumofthemountainman.com/). There I learned that it is something of a myth that the rugged mountain men were mostly bearded. Turns out that native American women liked their men clean-shaven, and any mountain man who wanted to score with the local women (effectively the only women around) they too had to go clean shaven. So virtually all of them did.

When I was about 17 I had a mustache to make me look older. Sometime around the age of 30 I shaved it off to look younger. Being vain is futile for some of us when we have so little to work with.

I think that's why my husband shaved his off.  The age where he no longer wanted to look older but reversed, and now wanted to look younger, haha!

My wife likes the bald head with beard look. I only trim my face every week or so. I rarely ever take it to skin. There is always some length of hair on it.

Can’t be.  I saw Jeremiah Johnson when he took a squaw and the next day her face was scratched from his beard. Lol

I shaved mine off at 42.  I was having a dental implant and didn’t want to bother with a mustache and all that dental work.

A secondary motivation was, at that time, all of Sadaam Hussein’s henchmen had big mustaches, and it bugged me to have one at that time.
