In what world were the Raiders required to interview a minority candidate before hiring John Gruden?

In a league where blacks represent 68% of the players while whites only represent 28%, is it not sufficient to say that he NFL is diverse enough? 

Yet another reason to forego the NFL for the rest of my life. As a former college defensive tackle, football has been an important part of my life.  No longer. I’ll watch college football for now, but I’m getting disillusioned with that as well.
