No!  Actually, I did not state it has a fact.  You need to read what I said, not what you want to rail against.

Wow.  Getting a little defensive, aren't we?

Hillary = guaranteed more Obama style communism, and four far left Supreme Court Justices and abolishment of the 2A.

Trump = ????

I will go with the guy that at least likes Capitalism, and says the right things about the Second Amendment.

Were you molested?

What's your point?  Target is making a POLITICAL statement.  They have made a choice to alienate 99.9999% of the population.  If they had just not said anything this wouldn't be an issue.  Now, they have opened Pandora's box, and are paying the price.  GOOD!

Since the announcement, Target revenue is down, and the stock price has lost 5% of its value.  The board, and stockholders are NOT happy.  Heads will roll.

Quote
The company’s stock was two cents shy of $84 on April 19, when it revealed it would not allow shoppers to use single-sex bathrooms or changing rooms. Instead, all rooms were opened up to anyone claiming to be of either sex. As of 4.00 p.m. Friday, the stock had dropped almost $4.50, down to $79.50.

That’s a huge loss of 5 percent in stock value, costing shareholders roughly $2.5 billion in company value.

Only government 'tit' we are hooked up to is electricity. (well, I guess you can add the two cell phones). If the PUD's electricity wasn't so stinking cheap (less than 3 cents per Kw/h), I would look at alternative sources.

Well, and the property, real estate, income, and sales taxes, etc we have to pay.  We don't own our property as we have to pay taxes on it (government rent).

GOP still controls the vast majority of statehouses and governorships, and one half of the Legislative body (not to mention one half of the SCOTUS).  I honestly don't think they're in any trouble at all, and a Clinton presidency will likely be the very best thing for them.

And why is that?  Because people are sick of Obama's fasco-communist policies.  The people VOTED for those governors, and state legislatures as well as the Fed House and Senate.  THE PEOIPLE VOTED.  If Hillary wins we get more Obama anti American nonsense, and four far left, radical Supreme Court justices, and more FUNDAMENTAL TRANSFORMATION.  But, your faculty lounge would love that, right?

Like you have said, US politics is all about division right now and the Democrats aren't the only ones doing the dividing.

What issues, policies, or positions are Republicans promoting that would cause division?  Wanting the Constitution to be upheld, and enforced?

Do I?? I was just stating a fact. You might not like that fact Mr. Pennsylvania, but most Americans, for whatever reason, don't care about Benghazi. They just don't. Sorry.

I have no reason to be ashamed. I didn't vote for Obama, or either of the senators from California. I did vote for my US representative, Jerry McNerny because the Republican they put up to oppose him was a joke and a shill for the big agribusinesses in the valley. McNerny opposed Governor Brown's idiot "water fix" plan send more delta water to So Cal at the expense of those that actually live here. That's all I needed to vote for him. I'm certain McNerney had nothing to do with Benghazi, or any of your other list of things I'm to be ashamed of.

OK, thanks for clarifying that.  While I am from PA, I've lived several years in Colorado, a year in in San Fran, several in KY, FL, and CT.  Now, back in PA.  I know from living in CA it is easy to get indoctrinated, and sometimes you sound like you are drinking the cool aid.

The media is the reason the people don't care about Benghazi.  I sure do.

Spin Zone / Re: Is the 14th Amendment a threat to the Bill of Rights?
« on: April 29, 2016, 08:30:05 AM »
Agree on the first part, we balance our rights against the rights of others.  However, I disagree completely on limiting rights for "the common good".  The "common good" is collectivist bullshit that is used to seize the rights of individuals for the good of the state, and as such is an anathema to the rights of individuals.

Spot in Jeff.  It is the government, and political class's way of taking away our rights, and our property.  Liberal/Progressives are too uniformed to see that.

None of whom would be disenfranchised by having to use the bathroom that corresponds to their plumbing.

This is a Media/Democrat generated NON ISSUE.  It is a another fabricated problem to further divide us.  It is calculated, and cunning.  It parallels the divisiveness promoted using race, gender, sexual orientation, political beliefs, religion, etc.  All constructed to keep us infighting, and at each other's throats as a purposeful distraction so we don't focus on the real problems, and unite against Government, media, and education.

My impression is that the anti-gun morons will latch onto any position to try to get rid of guns.

I don't really believe that the anti-gun morons care about the rights of criminals, it's all about getting rid of guns.

It is about getting rid of legally owned guns owned by law abiding citizens.  They are fine with the gang bangers, and drug dealers have illegally owned guns, as they are victims of society.  We are just white privileged, undeserving bigots

There are many on the left that side with the attacker, and portray criminals as victims when there are sometimes no alternatives to stop the threat from them with deadly force.  Liberal/Progressives truly have a mental disorder.

That's a bit aggressive in terms of impact.

If Target loses, say $1b in revenue, that doesn't translate to $1b in the bottom line.  They will have a corresponding drop in the Cost-of-Goods-Sold line.  I've not looked at their financials in any detail, but the critical factor would be what their gross margin is, and in retail, that tends to be quite thin.

Exactly.  However, the board/stockholders don't look kindly at even a small reduction in GM.
