But the tribs have so far resisted compliance with the governor’s bid to limit the checkpoints.

“We will not apologize for being an island of safety in a sea of uncertainty and death,” Frazier said in a statement last Friday.

South Dakota has had 39 covid19 deaths.

Let’s see, SD averages, per year, 200 “flu” deaths. Why are they not blocking roads and screaming about seas of death for that?

Why?  Because Steingar and Fauci says those deaths are "normal", but for some reason these aren't.   >:(

Well, those 39 deaths were over the course of 2 or 3 months.  Let's say 3 months... that means that COVID-19 might be expected to be listed as the cause of death for about 156 deaths.  wait, nuts.

ok, let's say that 39 deaths was over 2 months.  Yeah, that's it, that means that COVID-19 might be expected to be listed as the cause of death for about 234 deaths.  Clearly 234 is larger than 200 and that justifies the complete panic.

(is the green font really necessary?)

btw - don't look at the numbers for pneumonia.

Remember what happened to many Indian tribes when foreigners brought diseases over here the last time.
I don't blame them.

In other words, covid19 is basically equivalent to the flu? But... the media and the experts keep insisting it’s not  “just another flu”. And they’re always right, right?

Green font assumed not necessary.

If we want to go down that path... we should investigate   EVERY  SINGLE   pathogen.

(btw - I'm actually part Sioux... a very small part, my great-great-grandmother was Sioux)

So you’re saying they are reacting to covid19 differently than regular flu because it was brought over by foreigners?

This is true, the longer groups are geographically separated the more pathogens they don’t share and the less immunity they share. The worst case today are the Sentinelese who have been separated from the rest of humanity for 60,000 years. They are immune to none of our modern pathogens and contact with them would result in a huge proportion of deaths. But the survivors would contribute some very strong genes  when they eventually intermarried with us.

Yet another reason attempting to isolate your subculture within a larger population is a bad idea. Those Sioux like your great great grandmother who intermingled into the dominant culture were successful genetically (you!) as well as more prosperous than those who remained “on the reservation” and isolated from the economy at large.

The Sentinelese are a bit of a special case; they have been isolated so long, it would be devastating to make contact now and they are happy to be left alone. But leaving them alone as the rest of mankind advances ever farther into the future means keeping them as almost wildlife-like specimens, in a protected habitat, as we evolve physically and culturally ever further apart. The longer they stay apart the worse their chance of ever being able to join the modern world.

No.  I'm just saying that I don't blame them for putting up restrictions to outsiders entering their area.

They must be like any other MSM watchers and are just like “WE’RE ALL GONNA DIE” and nobody gets like that with regular flu.

Yeah. That’s what I meant. Glad you put those words in my mouth.
