Title: President Trump can do nothing right
Post by: President-Elect Bob Noel on February 07, 2020, 06:25:16 AM
Occassionally I read an op-ed writer in the Boston Herald (Joyce Ferriabough Bolling).  Well, to be blunt, I occasionally start to read her piece but quickly have my fill of her lies, BS, and liberal crap (sorry to repeat myself).

She claims Pelosi "dramatically tore up the president's speech" and "it may have seemed crass to some but I applauded her" - that pretty much tell you how open minded she it.

<sigh>

Every liberal I know (and I know way too many) applaud Pelosi for that.  They wish they could have done it.

Yep.  And I applauded him for that.  Until he apologized.
(ok,not really.  That had no place in the SOTU, but I still snickered).

That was Justice Roberts if memory serves.  Then he went and violated the Constitution with his Obamacare ruling.

That was Justice Roberts if memory serves.  Then he went and violated the Constitution with his Obamacare ruling.

It was Rep Joe Wilson (R) during a joint address to congress.

 He was harshly reprimanded.

Quote
On September 9, 2009, during a joint address to congress by President Barack Obama which was nationally televised, Joe Wilson shouted "You lie!" Obama was outlining his proposal for reforming health care and said: "There are also those who claim that our reform effort will insure illegal immigrants. This, too, is falseā€”the reforms I'm proposing would not apply to those who are here illegally."

Obama's chief of staff Rahm Emanuel immediately approached senior Republican lawmakers and asked them to identify the heckler and urge him to apologize immediately. Members of Congress from both parties condemned the outburst. "Totally disrespectful", said Senator John McCain (R-Arizona) of Wilson's utterance. "No place for it in that setting or any other and he should apologize immediately."Wilson said later in a statement:

This evening I let my emotions get the best of me when listening to the President's remarks regarding the coverage of undocumented immigrants in the health care bill. While I disagree with the President's statement, my comments were inappropriate and regrettable. I extend sincere apologies to the President for this lack of civility.

^^^^Didn't Roberts mouth "that's a lie" to Obama during a SOTU speech?  Maybe I am having a Joe Biden moment.  (Odin forbid)

No, that was Scalia.

No, that was Scalia.

We're both wrong, at least for the incident I was referencing.  It was Justice Alito who mouthed "Not True" to Obama.

Odin, please forgive me.
