Actually, no. It's bigger than that. It's a reflection of society's in general, and democrats' specifically, tolerance and acceptance of cheating, corruption, and lawlessness, as long as their goals are being met.

Show me a single democrat who is having a crisis of conscience about voting for Hillary.

There are many.

Cops bitch too much. They don't have the most dangerous job, being a pilot is more perilous. More cops die of suicide than gunshots and traffic accidents combined.
Why do you suppose they have such a high suicide rate?  Is it because their job is so easy and rewarding?

Being a cop is one of the toughest jobs on the planet.  It makes being a professor look like being a pussy.

I'm going to have to ask you to remove that picture. I feel psychologically micro-aggressed by the assertive stance of that fencer, and along with her antagonistic facial expression, I feel there is some possibility of a panic attack resulting from inappropriate intrusion of my mental safe-space. Perhaps consider replacing it with a picture of a nondescript asexual unicorn feeding a vegan breakfast to an infant chipmunk upon a bed of soft bahiagrass.
Why do you hate Muslim fencers?

Same with a sabre, foil, or epee, as evidenced by the violent way they are being used. We should ban them.

http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2016/08/journalists_clap_and_cheer_for_clinton_during_press_conference.html

Excerpt:

'Journalists' clap and cheer for Clinton during 'press conference

Following her speech, Clinton participated in a Q&A with five pre-selected journalists.

The event's organizers and Clinton's campaign team maintain that the Q&A portion of the candidate's appearance at the journalism convention constituted a "press conference."

That means, then, that the Democratic presidential candidate held a "press conference" in a room filled with people who just moments earlier were cheering and applauding her vision for the White House.

NABJ President Sarah Glover said Friday that Clinton's appearance marked the "largest press conference with any presidential candidate before a room filled with journalists of color."

From the rest of the political press – silence.  That this travesty of journalism could go unnoticed and unremarked upon by other reporters covering the event defies belief.

This is how freedom dies – with thunderous applause.

If a candidate really wanted to throw the election to the corrupt doormat, what more could be done than what the donald has done?

One who does not value his party's platform or Reagan's 11th commandment, in short, one who does not plan to seek re-election.

I am fine with and understand people having reservations about Trump, I do myself, but this is just destructive grandstanding nonsense and the only alternative is someone who may be the most corrupt, self-interested and pathological liar to ever seek the office and who's party platform would expand and accelerate the policies and lawlessness that have devastated our economy and our culture over the past 8 years.

It is really no contest - in the end it is not about the personalities, it is about the platforms and policies and that should be a hands-down no-brainer for any thinking person.

Yet, in the last 24 hours, Trump has said nothing about Hillary, but has had time for:

I've learned that Jaybird has skin as tough as nails and appreciate his opinion even if we don't agree.

I think we've that learned that people of good will but varied beliefs can largely discuss and agree and disagree mostly in a fun-loving and respectful way.

And we can tell anyone who doesn't agree with us to go fuck themselves, ignore them, or simply choose not to bother with those who are not worth our time.

In short, near perfection.

In large measure that experiment has not been proved here at this site. We are mostly full of right-wingers. Granted, the rise of Trump has caused some dissention in that group. But we have very few of the "other side" here. Steingar toughs it out but has nearly been driven off at times. MarkZ comes around every now and then. Jaybird is active. And I enjoy participating, though I'm frankly fairly varied and even-handed in my views for a liberal.

More so than even the POA SZ, this site can tend to be a conservative circle-jerk.

A note today from a liberal I know following news stories today regarding the leaked emails: "man I might have to vote for Gary Johnson, this shit is getting ridiculous".

When did being a liberal equate to being such a bad thing?  I thought political discourse was a good thing, or is groupthink really the way to go?

Oh yes, I forgot, you read her biography.  And it must be the 100% gospel truth.

Let me guess, you read Baracks two books and you believed every word there as well?
This from the guy who thinks Donnie is the messiah, and The Art of the Deal is the revealed word of God.

I'm waiting for Trump to start going after Hillary instead of Cruz. I understand he can't expend all of his political ammo right now but this petty stuff of attacking Cruz needs to stop. He discussed unity during his announcement of Mike Pence and he's not showing it when he continues to attack Cruz.

This is a very hard election but I keep coming back to the question of, if I vote for Trump this time and he doesn't win, what's the argument going to be in 2020 if the Republicans nominate another less than ideal candidate? Vote for him anyway to prevent Hillary from getting another four years? I've asked several times when this nasty cycle will end and I have yet to receive a sufficient response. I'm still on the fence though I'm currently leaning towards a write-in (which is not a vote for Hillary, no matter how you look at it).
