Germany banded the Swastika, and Nazis yet welcome Islamic Fascism, which is arguably worse.  They hate Jews too.   >:(

Absolutely moronic.

Basically, Germany has become the naive girlfriend in an abusive relationship. She seriously thinks she can change him and knows there is good in him when in fact she can't and there is little good in him. All I say is they sure know how to pick 'em. They picked the worst part of the world to import their new immigrant labor pool from. Germany has historic ties to Mexico, that's where they should have gone looking laborers.

It's not their money and it's not their debt. Unlike a hired management professional, there is no consequence for mismanagement and there is no personal liability should things go wrong. They sleep just fine.

Basically, the folks that run the country and the "economists" that advise them, run with the idea that the country is "too big to fail" and so far they are correct. What keeps us afloat is the mere fact that the rest of the world is worse off.

I feel a lot of things when taking a shower.

OK, I'm all for free speech, but I demand this thread be locked before he elaborates.

I have so reported both of you! One for indecency and the other for intolerance!!!  ;)

Spin Zone / Re: White Christians need to act more Christian than white
« on: January 20, 2016, 11:41:00 PM »
Honestly, I was going to post a whole big long rant that would go down the page with all kinds of foul words. I went away and came back and I'm better now.

It's not about black and white. The sooner we get past that garbage the better. It's all about culture. It has been for ages now.

Anybody ever notice how when a person with dark brown skin, dark brown eyes and curly dark black hair comes from a place like Kenya, or England, or Australia and doesn't look like they just got out of prison and speaks proper english, even if broken and with a thick accent, they are immediately accepted.

Anybody ever notice how when a person with dark brown skin, dark brown eyes and curly dark black hair goes to university, gets a degree and takes on a profession that they are immediately accepted.

Anybody ever notice how when a person with dark brown skin, dark brown eyes and curly dark black hair takes the office of City Council, mayor, assembly person, representative, senator, attorney general, district attorney, police chief, sheriff, CEO, engineer, doctor, scientist, astronomer, astronaut, fighter pilot, US military General, or President of the fucking US of A that they are immediately accepted?

This is what we have a problem with -

Trash culture that breeds more and more misery, ignorance, death and incarceration. Stupid makes more stupid over and over again.

This is what we (Americans in general) want-

Now, obviously we don't need to see folks wearing a suit all the time, what everybody wants that loves America, other than just their sorry selves is- assimilation. Do as the dominant culture does. Educate your kids. Inspire them to do better than you do. Want them to learn and not just shut their mouth when they ask questions. Engage with your children and their future. Have them be just like the smart kids in school no matter what they color are.

Millions of people with dark brown skin, dark brown eyes and curly dark black hair, have done exactly this and it has turned out incredibly well for them!!! Learn from them instead of choosing to reject them and cling to an identity that is broken and a proven failure. Don't give in to the "poor us, we have been wronged, now you owe us" culture. Step above that shit.

"Black lives matters" is a crappy joke. All lives matter. It's backward trash culture that doesn't matter and it needs to fade away. Anybody with dark brown skin, dark brown eyes and curly dark black hair needs to work towards this end rather than defend this failed culture. At this point, it makes no matter how we got here, it just matters how we move ahead.

Skin color doesn't matter. Character does. The people and "victims" that the OP posted about, were of poor character and clung to the old culture. They ultimately fell victim to it. Crooked, murderous white cops is part of that culture. Those cops need to be punished if they are truly guilty, but the defenders of the victims have to ask themselves, how did these people get there and what could they have done to never encounter that misery?

Having said this, there obviously are hold outs to the old fucked up white culture white people have had in the past. There are those that want to cling to ideas of "racial supremacy". It will take time to completely cleanse society of this rubbish and we are working on it. It's pretty obvious is if you really look around and not just at the sensational headlines that this is so.

Pilots are comfortable with a certain level of danger.  They have to have a certain level of intelligence.  Refusal to engage in a true discussion of observable realities doesn't seem to me a good quality for a pilot to have.

My husband is wonderfully able to discuss all sides of an issue.  Noting that this seems to go along with a more fully-engaged, actively working brain, I'm actually becoming more comfortable with the idea of flying with him.   :)

Thank you, FLTP!

I think the issue over at POA wasn't discussing issues, it was more about the nasty name calling and bullying as well as many aviation topics turning into political topics with the usual "It's Obama's and the socialist Democrats fault..." stuff. There are lots and lots of pilots that are Democrats. They really don't want that crap thrown in their face on every other thread about airspace, the FAA, the state of GA these days, or any topic of regulation.

Having said that, closing the Spin Zone was dumb IMO. They had the perfect gig going, but IMO, were mismanaging what they had started. I still post over on POA, so I'm not a lovesick ex-boyfriend. I'm a cheatin' bastard that gets the best of both forums with no commitments!!  ;)

It is true that the POA threads here never seem to die. Now people are on about 6PC for some reason. He's a harmless goof ball. Let it go.

Spin Zone / Re: Democratic Primaries Starting Soon, Too
« on: January 06, 2016, 12:18:07 PM »
It cannot be made any clearer:  The discussion is here to be had, your opinion and input are valuable, but you can back out anytime if something offends you.  A better approach would be to ignore, or just critically scan, the comments of the person who has offended you.  There may still be something valuable in other things they have to say.

Everyone here seems to misunderstand me. I'm not offended. I don't identify as a liberal, so it doesn't bother me personally. I also don't believe in putting anyone on "ignore". It's silly.

The point of my original response was a request that maybe we start this forum off as a more intelligent place than the old Spin Zone was and try to refrain from name calling, insults and gross generalizations. The old Spin Zone was often just a school yard squabble with no real argument, but just contradiction and insults.

Anyhow, the suggestion seems to have fallen on deaf ears. It seems the freedom to insult people is held more dear than the ideal of a good debate. So be it. Like I have said, I'm not here to censor anybody (even if I could) or go all touchy feely PC on people. I can play the school yard way too, but I fear it will get boring, turn people off once the loudest bullies take over and this site will never get any bigger, or better.

Spin Zone / Re: Should we worry?

We should always worry. Guns in the hands of the populace has always been the rival of big, central government. Our central government will never stop trying to eliminate our gun ownership no matter who is in the White House.

Spin Zone / Re: Unions and "overtime"
« on: January 05, 2016, 07:11:11 PM »
Yep the state government unions are the worst. Here in California they are full of corruption like that. They make the UAW look like Boy Scouts.

In all fairness, the vast majority of state union workers are honest, do what they are supposed to, don't engage in these rackets, work an honest day and pay their dues. They are great jobs if you can get them and I don't blame the guys that work for them one bit for taking union jobs. The problem is with management, oversight and the culture of "us against the rich man". Everyone that engages in corruption like this justifies it to themselves by saying- "I'm not doing anything worse than those rich fat cats do to us that run this place!"

Keeping the unions in check is very wise. Otherwise we end up like France where the railway workers can call a strike, bring the country to a halt, disrupt everybody's lives and get whatever the hell they want.

How's the progressive policies working out for you in Commiefornia?

There is so much money in this state, that we survive in spite of them. We're doing OK. That's how socialist states survive. Plenty of enterprise and wealth generating businesses are based in the state to create revenue to be frittered away on feel good programs. If we were to apply California's government to say, Nebraska, they would be broke like Puerto Rico in a year.

I wish we were the state we used to be, but that ship has sailed. We are now working towards EU membership status I think.  :(

Spin Zone / Re: Final Thoughts on the Spin Zone
« on: January 01, 2016, 11:18:42 AM »
Sadly, having the Spin Zone attached to the regular pilot forum drew in a lot of folks to the political discussions that were of opposing views that probably won't be coming over here. The pilot population is as diverse in the political spectrum as the general population, but it's the common interest in aviation that brings the two sides of the argument together. Without that common venue, the folks on the left will take their politics to left wing places to rant and folks on the right look to have come here. So far, this place is nice, but a little boring and without more opposing views, will likely continue to be so.

[CONSPIRACY THEORY ALERT!!] I'm starting to think Obama has Eric Holder out hiring people to shoot up places, just so he can get support for his largely unpopular policies.

I warned you...
