She is very smart and competent!  :) Plus, we have to start somewhere getting past labels and partisan bashing. The more competent people you accumulate around you, the more better things happen.

Then how about making her head of HHS.  I don't want another rich person that wants to redistribute everyone else's wealth in charge of treasury.  Sure, she donates a lot of her own money, but not enough to squeeze her budget like she would be willing to squeeze yours and mine.  As head of HHS she could use her competency to make the best use of what is given her.

If I were King, err, I mean President....(and my dream list for El Jeffe Trump)

Executive Order Number One, every unelected policy wonk and apparatchik in the government is fired with 1 yr severance - replacements are term limited and replaced at rate of 1 for every ten previous.

Executive Order Number Two, Obamacare repealed, limits on purchasing insurance across state lines removed, ability for individuals to pool together for purchase enabled.

Executive Order Number Three, every Department, Secretariat, Administration created since 1968 is dissolved with no replacement (bye bye Dept of Ed, Dept of Energy, etc. - special cancellation for HUD, HHS).

Executive Order Number Four, every previous executive order considered unconstitutional from a constructionist point of view (regardless of who wrote it) rescinded.

Eececutive Order Number Five, build the fucking wall and send two invoices to Mexico (they get to pick which to pay, due Net 30), one for the entire sum total of estimated public benefits ever paid to suspected illegal immigrants from Mexico, or the cost of the wall - seize and freeze all Mexican assets in the US and cease all foreign aid to Mexico ($420M/yr as of '13) until such time as bill is paid.

Executive Order Number Six, Photo ID required for voting in all local, State and Federal elections.

Call for a convention of the states, Congressional term limits, balanced budget amendment, elimination and prohibition of baseline budgeting, entitlement reform (workfare, privatized Soc Security), and total prohibition on post employment lobbying former government employees (including and especially congresscritters and department secretaries).

There are, and will be, people who won't make their minds up until they are in the booth. This year in particular, for those who believe that the only choices are between Trump and Hillary and are stuck between those two, it will be particularly hard.

Yes, because one of the two will be elected.  One is backed by a machine that can and does steal elections at the margins.  There are only 2 results possible today, all votes are effectively for/against only 2 people and protest votes favor the incumbent party with the machine behind it.

Too much on the line to put the most corrupt self-dealing radical idealogue ever to seek the office within the margin of fraud of re-entering the People's House.

My conscience will be clear.

Going to vote now even though I do not count in the People's Republic of Commifornia.

like you, my vote in Taxachusetts won't matter much for the Presidential election.  (when was the last time a "republican" won Taxachusetts?)  To add to the futility, all of the other races had the candidate unopposed.

At least I got to have my vote count on the 4 ballot questions.

Thanks in advance!
Please don't get mad but I am SO TOTALLY shocked that we are talking about a potential President Donald Trump. It just amazes me. The people on FOXNEWS have completely reversed field. I think it was Britt Hume who first commented that Donald Trump had a possible pathway to 270 but it was nearly impossible.
Then he won  Ohio and everybody looked like the earth just shook.
Florida was gone long before FOx admitted to it and it looks certain that they will call Georgia any second for the Donald.

So, we may actually have to try and fill out a Trump Cabinet - I am sitting here completely unbelieving this.

This may represent a monumental shift in the electorate, far more than I expected.

Dumbfounded, literally dumbfounded.

A Republican President, House and Senate, unfuckingbelieveable.

Trump picks TOM PRICE (https://tomprice.house.gov/HR2300) for HHS.

(click the very last link at the bottom for a section by section overview, basically, an Executive Summary) to dismantle ObamaCare and replace it with another consumer-driven plan. All the Libs and Dems criticized the GOP for years saying that they want to repeal ObamaCare, but haven't proposed anything to replace it with. The LIVs believed it. In reality, there were numerous detailed proposals out there, and Price's is just one of them, but probably the best. Price led the effort for an ObamaCare alternative. Much of his criticism of the law has centered on the authority it gives to the federal government.

I suspect Barack Obama will have a shorter period public effectiveness than even Jimmy Carter who he supplanted as the absolute worst president ever.

The trouble I see is that what they're proposing won't actually do that much to affect the price of health care.  The problem is not competition, it is cost and industry structure.  I would add a few things

1) Tort reform to raise the bar to proving actual negligence in lawsuits.  If you make a judgement call and it's wrong, that's never negligence.  If you leave a pair of scissors in a patient during surgery, that's negligence.  This will create the benefit of allowing doctors to lower malpractice insurance costs AND to bring services back in house rather than paying multiple levels of someone else's profit.  This directly affects the base costs and will therefore lower prices.

2) Medical school debt forgiveness in exchange for X years of service as a public doctor treating the poor AND need based medical school scholarships.  This increases the supply of doctors.

3) Simplification of medical billing.  You should not have to hire someone in your office to coordinate with a billing specialist at every insurance office to coordinate the billing.  You especially then should not have multiple levels of companies involved in the clearing of those bills.  Again a cost issue.

So we are now 3 weeks post-election, and The Donald has made a number of picks for his advisors and cabinet.

Chief of Staff: RNC Chairman Reince Priebus

Chief White House Strategist: Trump Campaign CEO Steve Bannon

Attorney General: Alabama Senator Jeff Sessions

Housing and Urban Development Secretary: Dr. Ben Carson

Health and Human Services Secretary: Georgia Congressman Tom Price

Transportation Secretary: Former Labor Secretary for George W. Bush Elaine Chow

Education Secretary: Betsy DeVos

So far I am reasonably happy with the announced picks, although I would like to see official positions for Newt, Rudy and Bob Corker - and I would like Romney to go away.

Caught VP-Elect Pence on Hannity a little earlier and he laid out a first 100 days agenda that will make heads spin, faces melt, and force countless special snowflakes to seek counseling - if they get through half of it.

Gotta say, I am cautiously optimistic so far - improved consumer sentiment, more optimism in the citizenry than any time in the last decade.

Corker is the guy who made it possible for Obama to cut his Iran nuke deal without a 2/3 vote in the Senate, making it necessary for a 2/3 vote to disavow it.

I am troubled by the ending form of that Bill although I think I understand the objective Corker was after.  Since it was a bipartisan deal I think as is often the case it started out with one objective but ended up almost the polar opposite - it is a BAD bill.

I am more interested in seeing him rewarded for his early loyalty, he is definitely not a super conservative.

I would think there will be a lot of suicides from the snowflakes as they contemplate a world where you don't automatically get your way. If the federal government FORCES those poor, misunderstood, whiners to actually pay their own way, look for wholesale nervous breakdowns and suicide rooms to pop up everywhere they congregate.... all funded by tax dollars, i suspect.

I am elated at the prospect of Sebastian Gorka having a position in the new administration. I've heard him interviewed on the radio numerous times and have been frustrated that the O administration ignores his wisdom.

The man is a genius and understands Islam and the Middle East brilliantly.

Trump must have some really sharp people bringing in people like Gorka for him to consider hiring.

So Kellyanne Conway will have a staff position. Earlier she said she had been offered one but wouldn't accept because she has four small children.

How long before we see in MSM:

She is indecisive!
She is neglecting her children! (feminists have to choke on that one)
She has a huge ego and lust for power and control and can't resist them!
She is having an affair with Trump and can't bear to leave him!
She is the only one who can keep Putin's role in the election under wraps!
