South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley says she supports a proposed bill that would make it legal to carry guns without a permit or training, The State newspaper reports.
The proposed Constitutional Carry Act (S. 115) would decriminalize carrying a firearm without a permit — effectively eliminating the need for a concealed weapons license and related training — and would allow people to carry firearms either concealed or out in the open.
“Criminals are dangerous," Haley said Tuesday, "and I think that every resident should be allowed to protect themselves from criminals."
If enacted, South Carolina would be the sixth state with such a law. Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Vermont and Wyoming already have similar laws on the books

What I got from that is that it’s not settled yet, some people’s opinions and subjective interpretations of the Constitution are that she is not, but there have been challenges to that position. My view is you’re either a citizen who was born on our soil or you are not. There are only two types of citizenship, not three: Born here, or naturalized immigrant. If “natural born” means you have to have one or both parents be citizens, then that renders the term “naturalized” schizophrenic. How can an immigrant become “naturalized” if their parents aren’t, maybe because they’re still back in the old country, if someone born here can’t be “naturally born” just because their parents aren’t citizens, yet they’re here?
Makes no sense. I say unless SCOTUS rules differently, born here naturally means your mom didn’t have a C-section. If she did you can’t be a citizen. So there.

Nikki Haley turned me completely off when she said no one should ever be anonymous on the internet. All our activity needs to be under our real life name. What is she thinking? What if you want to meet online with your “Alcoholics Anonymous” group? What if you want to make an anonymous tip to the police of some crime you know about but don’t want to risk revenge from the criminal? I assume right now you can anonymously drop a dime to the FAA on a drunk pilot.
How about you want to make anonymous donations to some worthy cause? What if you want to hide your activity from your abusive spouse or a psycho stalker? You have been told you have terminal cancer and want to google research it before letting all your friends and family and coworkers know? You just want to look at porn but don’t want a cyber trail leading back to you? Or how about you just don’t want marketing corporations or government knowing about all the general stuff you do on the internet even though it’s all innocent but it builds a unique profile of you?
I can’t vote for her just on this one thing.

I guess people can always find a way to not like someone as long as it isn't Trump.
I have a lot of problems with Nikki, but I have a lot of problems with all of the candidates. I think I have fewer problems with Haley than with most of the rest though.
To me it boils down to who can keep the Dems from winning again because the worst R candidate is better than the best D candidate.

Good point. But, for me personally, nothing pisses me off more than people who attempt to lecture me or want me to do something a certain way but don't do it themselves. I know it's impossible to find a candidate who isn't a hypocrite, but it helps me narrow it down somewhat.

Kind of funny how after her Governorship she got on the board of Boeing and was able to but a nice little house. A bit beholden to the MIC for my liking.

This is the biggest problem: when they are blatant, open and unapologetic. Because they know they will get away with it and they can’t help bragging and rubbing our noses in it. This is outright narcissistic psychopathy, and it is rampant in authoritarian elites of the leftist variety and the truth is, all authoritarian systems are leftist even the so-called “right wing” dictatorships because you cannot control a population unless you control the economy. So right wing authoritarians have to have socialist (leftist) systems in place.
