Title: felons; voting rights and gun rights

Why are libs so adamant that convicted felons be allowed to vote, but raise hell when convicted felons who have "paid their debt" are restricted from buying guns?  They are big topics in our local rag these days.

Because felons are oppressed victims, but also dangerous. All at the same time.

Be fair. The leftists get upset when anyone has guns.

Government and the Left (often the same thing) does not want anyone having legally owned guns.  Whether you are a former convict that paid his dues, and now lives a law abiding life, or a person that has always been law abiding.  They will try any excuse to prohibit people, or make ore hoops people have to jump through in order to discourage firearm ownership.  Also, outright bans and confiscation are their ultimate goal.  Government, the Judicial system, many cops, bureaucrats, etc hate that we have guns.
