I’ve been pondering the cleverness of President a Trump with regards to how he handled the Baghdad attack.
Whacking the general and several of his top officers, but stepping back without bombing Iran’s facilities seems both wicked, and distracting.
How do you see this coming out?

Iranian leaders don't have a lot of options. They already were the pest of the region, so that doesn't change - they just will be bigger pests to non-US targets for the near future. They aren't likely to respond directly and quickly against US targets. When they do get around to responding I expect the first attempt to be muted to see how Trump responds. If he doesn't respond, they'll resume their old games. If Trump responds forcefully, they'll back off again for a while, then rinse, repeat, and lather. I expect Trump to execute proportionate responses - neither side wants a war, for different reasons.

That's like what happened to the roaches in our apartment in college. We'd call the management and they would send someone to spray, and they would go away for a while. Then our neighbors, also college students would all be complaining about roaches. They would just move! So we bought our own spray, and kept them out of our apartment by spraying every month. :)

That’s exactly what happened in our building. It contained only 6 apartments. We would complain about the roaches and the landlord would send someone to spray and they just ran to the other apartments. Then they would complain and get sprayed and they’d run back to ours. The landlord never had them spray all 6 apartments at once.

It's interesting that none of the MSM is being clear about where Baghdad is. It's not in Iran. It's in Iraq. We did not take out an enemy leader by entering Iran. We took out an enemy leader who was in a (supposedly) friendly country. The few low information voters I've talked to think that we're starting a war with Iran by blowing up a leader within that country. They are surprised when I tell them where Baghdad is and the capital of Iran is Tehran.

I've corrected two idiot Democrats about that myself. They both used that tired excuse "how would you like it if Iran came to Washington and bombed our leaders". I said I would be pissed and probably want to declare war on them, but that is not what happened here.
