Well, if you're going to give me a softball like that!

First off, Article II, Section 2:

Coupled with Article VI:

So, the Constitution does say that a particular type of law (as Article VI says that treaties are the law of the land) requires a super-majority of the Senate to enact.
Ok, killjoy. You got me there with respect to treaties.

You are the one clinging to and trying to paint your guy Cruz as some sort of perfect conservative messiah and that you and the other Republican purist are the only ones that see his greatness and the unwashed masses are simply wrong for not falling in line.

As far as your hypocrisy?  Yes, it's constantly evident.
Prove it, smart ass. Or shut the fuck up.

It is stunning that the Saudis threatened the US, and our POTUS is getting on a plane to meet with them.  A real man would say "fuck you, call me when you grow up" and let them sit on that.

Interesting.

I could care less about the criticism of Trump mainly due to the sources, it's politics.  But when you watch those criticizing absolutely deny that their chosen guy has no flaws and painting him as something he is not, then anyone has the right to call bullshit.

Is it no wonder George W. Bush, when asked about his former employee Ted Cruz said "I just don't like that guy".   A fairly astounding remark by a former President who rarely, if ever, says anything negative about other politicians.

Maybe GWB was a loser in your book as well?
Another intellectually dishonest debate strategy is to reach to the extremes to support your point.

A perfect candidate has never existed, and doesn't exist in this race. Yet you cling to some belief that the imperfections of Cruz demonstrate hypocrisy on my part.  That's an argument for losers, not winners.

But a "rule" (reconciliation) was used to get the ACA passed.  Not a constitutional law, but a rule adopted by Congress.   Had Congress followed the constitution the ACA would have died.

But you have stated you are all for using rules to seek an ends to a mean, correct?
What Constitution did Congress not follow?

Article I, Section 5, Clause 2 provides:

"Each House may determine the Rules of its Proceedings, punish its Members for disorderly Behaviour, and, with the Concurrence of two thirds, expel a Member."

If you can find where the Constitution requires that laws be passed with a supermajority in the Senate, I'd be very interested.

Oddly enough that sentence applies to Mr. Cruz as well.
Right.

Pathetic that THAT is your response to the article. As childish as your candidate.

Wait a minute, above you stated he has and that's just the way it is.
Oh grow up. That's an attempt at a "gotcha" statement worthy of a 6th grade civics class.

Here's a refresher on how a bill becomes law:

You will note that a president's Constitutional involvement only comes into play once a bill passes both houses and hits his desk.

My point is that it's a poorly rationalized solution.
Not when someone threatens to attack you with nukes.

A great article about Trump accusing delegates of being "bought":

http://soshable.com/mr-trump-in-accusing-patriotic-delegates-of-being-bought-youve-gone-too-far/

Mr. Trump:

How dare you assign your morale degradation and penchant for buying and selling people to the men and women who are trying to save the nation from the destruction you are attempting to bring on us. Your willingness to “play the system” with bankruptcies and political corruption have hurt so many people throughout your life. Accountability is not your thing, but please refrain from narcissistic projection of your weaknesses onto people who do not deserve it.

Instead of bashing the delegates, you should be applauding their commitment. As a billionaire who was born into a real estate empire, you can never appreciate the effort it takes to save up money in order to pay to go to Cleveland. Many receive limited or no compensation and are willing to make personal sacrifices because the Republic is that important to them.

Instead of accusing them, you should be talking to them, hearing what they want, and telling them what you will do. Not all of them have read your policies on your Twitter feed. In fact, you would do well to learn from many of them who know much more about fixing this country than you do.

Instead of belittling them, you should be heralding their service to this country. Many of them served in the Vietnam War that you were unfit to serve in. Many of them fought in the Middle East wars that you’ve repeatedly bashed. Instead of telling the world how corrupt they are for picking a candidate other than you, show them whatever positive character traits you can muster to convince them that you’re good for America.

Many people can give a speech. Many people can deliver a sales pitch. You are very good at both, but those abilities alone will not be enough to serve this country if you’re elected President. Demonstrate the ability to unify without whining. Prove to us that you’re capable of being a statesman, not just a salesman.

It’s important for you to understand something about the Republican party. There is corruption. There are those who say one thing to get elected only to fail to fulfill their promises. That fact has made a majority in the party upset. You are taking advantage of this need for us to fight against the Establishment, but by going after the grassroots rather than attacking the root of the problem, you are actually helping the Establishment. Instead of attacking delegates, you should be attacking Mitch McConnell, one of the Establishment types that you have helped to keep in power. You should be helping Senators Lee and Sessions (who endorsed you) pass legislation and move up in party leadership.

Chances are slim that you will read this and they’re even slimmer that you would learn anything from it, but if there is one takeaway that you must understand, it’s this: The President of the United States is a servant. We’ve seen Presidents falling away from the understanding that the President makes decisions on our behalf, but to do so properly you must be willing to humble yourself to the role of one who serves us. We do not serve you.

I will fight your nomination until the choice is finalized. Your antics have demonstrated a complete lack of the moral character and leadership that I feel the office requires. Regardless of the outcome of the nomination process and the election, it is my sincere hope that you will not use the goodwill you’ve accumulated with your supporters to further damage the Republican party and the United States of America. You have a responsibility to the nation that enabled your rise to prominence. Do not disregard that responsibility by acting as you have for your entire public life as a man who is most interested in gaining favor and approval from others.

Respectfully,

JD Rucker

You like Ted Cruz because he uses the "rules" to gain delegates in an attempt to win the nomination in which he can't do by popular vote.

So, since you have stated you think this is "smart" and you want a President who knows how to "play the rule system", may I ask you this?:

ObamaCare (ACA) was passed by the House using procedural "rules" (reconciliation) instead of an up or down vote.  Is this how you want your government run?   Would a President Cruz look for ways to bypass Congress using "procedures" and 'rules" much the same as BHO has done?

 Honest response please.
I didn't like it, but that's the way it was passed. That's also the way that it can be overturned by the way, if men of courage chose to do so.

I'd rather have a president who knows the rules and plays within them than a bombastic blowhard who thinks that by shear force of his presence he can get things done, because, you know, he's a winner. And when that doesn't happen, he becomes a whiner.

By the way, I believe that BHO has not followed "procedures" and "rules."  IMO he has unconstitutionally tried to make law and failed to enforce duly enacted laws, and a Congress that wasn't so fearful of impeaching the first black president should have already pushed him out off office.

It is moronic to equate Cruz' winning at the delegate game to Obama's usurpation of the democratic process. Not surprising however.

It's been an evolution, but a big part of the blame goes to George Bush. To silence the "rich get all the tax breaks crowd," he added a new lower 10% bracket, and increased the ceilings for the lower brackets.

Consequently, there was a big celebration that nearly 50% of the country didn't have to pay income tax.  I saw that as the beginning of the end.

Alexis de Tocqueville wrote "The American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public's money."

OH MY GOD!  Do you mean to tell me that the people who voted on the rules for the caucus in Colorado had their favorite candidate, and it WASN'T Donald Trump?

How can that possibly be?  It must be fraud!!!!!  EVERYONE loves Donald.

The whining from the Trump campaign is really starting to look like childish excuses for a pathetic lack of work in flyover states.

The scariest part is that this is somehow inevitable.

Who is running this country, anyway?
It's only inevitable if you hate your country and won't fight for her.  I don't think that represents ANY of us here at Pilot Spin.

Thanks for admitting your Trump derangement syndrome is acting up again.  No facts, just speculation on what someone may do in the future based upon........nothing.

I'm sure many of the financiers on Wall Street do have investments in the actual companies profiteering off of the defense department.  And I'm sure those investors are contributing heavily to a Cruz campaign, something you are unable to admit too.
I just find it humorous that you didn't catch the irony of people greasing the skids of politicians when Trump is the proudest greaser of them all.
