Please cite a credible source showing the political affliation of those that are listed as dying because of covid and who were not vaccinated or did not wear masks.

I realize that being dead doesn't stop democrats from voting...

You’re right, Steingar has a point.  All the Republicans that died ended up voting Democrat by mail in ballot.

You truly believe he takes all the slings and arrows of howling Dem/RINO/cabal hate and lies and persecution and investigations and faux impeachment for … his ego?

That the promises he kept to us, under constant, vitriolic attacks from 2016 to 2020 and all the things we miss now, he did for … himself?

He was and is a lightning rod for the corrupt. All we need now to clearly see who OUR enemies are is to catalogue and eliminate those who hate him. They’re making no secret of their position that STOPPING TRUMP is their only hope to preserve their grift and perfidy ad infinitum, and keep AMERICANS from interfering in our own governing.

Let’s face it, we’re all imperfect and we’re all going to leave a legacy. As Rush has said, if President Trump wants his legacy to be an American government with less corruption, a prosperous and secure America, and secure elections, that’s fine with me.

^^^^^^^^This. All of it. Well said Becky!!!

4, 8, 8, 8

Those are the years each can give us of a conservative presidency.  One of these is not like the others.

And as I’ve said before, we have the right to be selfish and get the most bang for our buck. 10 years from today, I want a conservative president. The Constitution prohibits Trump from being that president.

There’s nothing that says a conservative can’t win in 2028 after a Trump term.  Well other than the cheating Dems but they’ll do that anyway.

But he said mean things……
I think the thing that gets the left's panties in a wad is not so much that what he said was mean, but what he said was the truth.

I"m not sure why you keep labeling DeSantis a "politician".  Of course, technically he is, as is Trump, but DeSantis has only been in politics for 9 years.  The difference between DeSantis and Trump is that DeSantis is good at it.  Nine years is enough to give him a good understanding, but not enough to become entrenched.

IMO, if DeSantis runs, he might possibly win.  If Trump runs, Either Biden or Harris could win.

Yeah, right.

I like DeSantis, but I wonder what he'll look like after he goes through what Trump already has gone through.

But Trump said we could. Hell, I even yelled it at a chant at a Trump rally.

I don’t know why he didn’t do this, but you could sever all political appointees. Put a friendly team as interim leadership, and seal and destroy anyone who refuses to play ball. If you can’t fire them, put them in the Mail room. Have hiring freezes for 8 years and let agencies shrink by attrition. Etc etc.

Politicians say a lot of things. At least Trump did most or much of what he said but dismantling this USSR style bureacracy they've created, enabled by our busy lives can not be removed except by an actual war against it.

Hobbs is claiming she has won.

Where will conservatives ever find someone unafraid to call out election fraud? To take the constant heat? To NOT CAVE to the left and RINOs? To NOT QUIT, as you think he should?

So is your solution to hold tight with Trump, who doesn't stand a chance in hell of getting re-elected?

I'd go with DeSantis, with any one of the hot young Republican women, which might even include not-yet-Republican Tulsi.
Or Nikki or Kristi or Kari or a few others.

DeSantis has not given any hint he will run, and none of the hot young Republican women are ready to mount a presidential campaign, and even if they are, only Kari Lake possibly has the fortitude needed to stand up to what will be a horrific onslaught from the uniparty.  But even if she wins AZ she won’t have had enough executive experience by 2024; if she loses, she’ll have none.  If there is a Republican who runs that doesn’t get that onslaught, it will be because they’re a RINO, and if they win, back to business as usual pre-Trump, in other words back to the decline, only much worse because of the Biden damage happening now.

Trump is a symptom of the disease, not necessarily the cure.

But assuming he is AND you exclude RINOs, who are you going to start over with and how are you going to build a party large enough to be effective?

Trump exposed the traitorous GOP and commented harshly about them to us all many times, but still had to work with them when he was in office.

It’s my belief, possibly erroneous, that after 2020 nearly every Republican, or at least all 81 million Trump voters, would have seamlessly gone with a new American party because it was clear that Ronna Fucking McDaniel and the entire GOP, including my House rep, were going to do FUCKING NOTHING about the steal. Nothing, that is, except beg money to help fix it and then go on a posh retreat in Florida to look like they somehow were doing something. Assholes all.

Yes, it would require recruiting true patriotic Americans to run, elections would have to be fixed by WE THE PEOPLE (no federal or state bureaucracy is going to do it for us) the left would have to be defeated in all ways, but after the GOP literally DEFECTED and abandoned Americans, as it still is doing to this day, I see no other option really.

We've lost the country, time to admit that.  There is no way, with things as bad as they are, more Republicans weren't elected.

Bob Costa. Hahahahaha!

“CNN’s Bob Costa reports about explosive reports from sources who have heard anonymous reports from those who might have some familiarity with reports from others who have a connection to the matter.”

I'll just leave this here.....
I didn't know who Costa is, so I looked him up:
Quote
Robert Costa (born October 14, 1985) is an American political reporter who is the chief election and campaign correspondent for CBS News. Prior to joining CBS in 2022, Costa was a longtime national political reporter for The Washington Post. Previously, he was a political analyst for NBC News and MSNBC and the moderator and managing editor of Washington Week on PBS. He is the co-author with Bob Woodward of Peril, a # 1 New York Times bestseller on the final days of the Trump presidency, including the 2021 United States Capitol attack.
I'm sure he's a totally unbiased reporter who would NEVER make things up to drive an agenda.

From your quote, I hear that you don’t like people tearing down Trump, but you have no problem when he does it to others?

The man is politically toxic. He is the Pied Piper, leading Republicans over the cliff.  You can ignore reality, but that doesn’t change the outcome of that reality.

What’s the alternative?  Keep with the Republican status quo?  They were complicit with the Democrats in dragging this country ever deeper into debt and decay.

Rush, it wasn’t a joke. That’s one man’s opinion.

And it wasn’t just a single comment about DeSantis. I’ve posted plenty more on my DeSantis thread. I didn’t address any other than DeSantis, but do you think telling the crowd at an Ohio rally that JD Vance has been kissing his ass to get Trump’s support, that’s merely a joke?  Was that designed to help or hurt JD Vance?

I’ve just completed 40+ years in business, and dealt with literally thousands of clients, up close and personal. I’m very familiar with the type of person that Trump is.  Some people have to diminish others any time they might outshine the person.  They say they don’t mean it, but they mean it, because such diminishment serves a purpose to eliminate competition (even if no such competition practically exists), and of course boost their ego.

Damaging people who I believe can lead the MAGA movement beyond Trump is an affront to me. I’m 62 years old. My finances and my retirement can’t withstand another 6 years of democrat control, and I think Trump is incapable of winning the general election. Period. And in the unlikely event he does win, the blow back will be so severe that the subsequent 4 year period will be a dem presidency.  I’m also getting fatigued with having to defend him when he becomes a little bitch. I’ve got too much on my plate.

I respect all that and agree completely about the finances and retirement, but explain to me how the Dems are going to allow anyone else to take up the MAGA movement?  I don’t think it matters who the Republican nominee is, they’ll cheat again and we will have another 6 years, or forever, of Dem control.  Becky is right, without addressing the cheating our arguing Trump vs DeSantis is pointless.

“People really are getting dumber and more pliant and there’s no ignoring that anymore, “

YES.

“Even those surrounding and supportive of the victorious Florida governor accept that DeSantis is closer to the GOP comfort zone – including the neoconservatives – than Trump is.”

THIS is my problem with DeSantis and those of you jumping from Trump to him.  He feels like a politician, not the outsider Trump is.  I don’t see him fired up to take apart the monolithic federal apparatus that now enslaves us the way Trump was.  It may be that he hasn’t had a chance to yet.  I’m reserving judgment.  I’ll not decide right now which I’ll support in 2024 if they both run.
