It's actually funny that Sandy has her panties twisted up because the Speaker has assigned her committee work, and "gasp!" expects Sandy to do some actual work.

 Sandy thought that the job of a congresswoman was to be an activist, not to do any actual work.

 The party built their platform on racism.   Just look at the historical FACTS on the democrat party between 1850's and 1960's and see just how hard they fought blacks and other minorities.

 It wasn't until LBJ that they figured out they could use them for votes by painting them (minorities) as victims.
