Too bad we don’t shoot traitors any more.

Should be a good resume enhancer so he can run for a Democratic House seat.

No. It does not meet the criteria set out in article three of the U.S. constitution.

Not treason.  The United States does not own the professor's research and has no sole claim to his knowledge.  He is not an Officer of the State.

And on a side note, Treason is being thrown around way too often by both sides.
