Title: Where are the Pro-Kasich, Pro-Cruz posts?
Post by: acrogimp on March 25, 2016, 09:15:41 AM
As seems to be happening in the campaign, Trump is garnering almost all of the conversation.

Where are the posts extolling the virtues of Governor Kasich or Senator Cruz?

Why should we vote FOR them?

Do I need to keep repeating ad nauseam that Cruz is the only Constitutional Conservative running in the race, or are the last several dozen mentions of that sufficient?

What new policy initiative has Trump come up with that makes him even more magnificent?

I have posted several articles that were either pro-Trump or discussed the specifics of why he is seeing the support he is seeing.  Zero discussion, which is interesting to me.  But the anti-Trump stuff go on and on and on.

Should I have said 'new thread'?  I thought is was obvious.

I am trying to shift this to a positive discussion instead of the seemingly endless harping on about whatever the LeftMedia complex and RINO Establishment has decided we are supposed to be offended about Trump today.

Clarifying, this is a challenge for Pro-Kasich or Pro-Cruz folks to seek out and post positive things to discuss about their guy like I have been trying to do.

Even in this reply though, still taking a dig at Trump - I want to see if we can elevate the conversation from 'anti' to 'pro' or at least see some discussion about the other candidates.

Good try 'Gimp.

It just astounds me that so many Conservatives would rather see Hillary in the WH than Trump.
Just like it astounded me when a bunch of Rs put Obama in the WH because they didn't like Palin.

Some R's just have a penchant for "cutting off their nose to spit their face".  You never see Ds doing that, or at least not to the same degree.

My point in my snarky response is that I think  you are ignoring what I and others have already said about Cruz, and seem to be implying that us Cruz supporters don't have valid reasons to support our candidate. That was my take on it at least.

When I do point out things such as the general election chances of Cruz over Trump, you and lucifer belittle them and dismiss them. Same when I post some National Review article supporting Cruz; lucifer calls it trash GOP establishment journalism. So what's the point?

My support for my candidate is based upon my beliefs of him as a Constitutional Conservative, which is principles-based and which doesn't lend itself to flavor-of-the-day website articles, especially in an environment where one celebrity candidate is sucking the oxygen out of the room.

Cruz must be dead-man-walking on Fox, as he's rarely on compared to wall-to-wall Trump nightly interviews.  That's fine. Good for Trump.  But that leads to less coverage of Cruz.

Wrong take.

I know you and others have reasons that work for you same as I have reasons that work for me.

I am not looking for drive-by remarks in the endless string of anti-Trump threads, I am suggesting new pro-fill_in_the_blank threads to try and increase discussion about other candidates vs. yeah-but type discourse, or the petty name-calling.

I have yet to outright insult any candidate or their supporters, I don't have childish nicknames for candidates or their supporters and I try to provide my understanding/explanation in defense of the candidate I have decided to support in a positive way while also starting threads sharing my thoughts or those of others that are pro my guy or explain why he is doing so well to-date.

That is what I am suggesting.  Hell if the name-calling and other nonsense stops I might lift my one-and-only embargo.

Bring it up instead of tearing of it down.

While I still think I prefer Cruz, at this point I don't care if it is Trump or Cruz.  I just don't want Hillary and her 3 - 4 far left, activist Supreme Court judges.

Kasich is more acceptable to me as President than anyone else left running.  But only because he would be less awful than Hillary.

And because, apparently, he has the best chance of beating Hillary.

I believe he has no chance of beating Hillary, but I still find him the most acceptable individual still running on either side.  Acceptable means just that.  Acceptable.

Too bad he has such a poor attitude toward police doing there job.

If you don't go to the link and watch the video you won't know what this is about (for those that don't like naked links  :)  )

I think we know who the IDIOT is, and it isn't the cop.

The point of the OP was to stimulate pro-fill-in-the-blank-not-Trump posts, and you can see that in three days nothing was posted.

Not looking for simple one liners here, looking for reasoned posts and article shares but I had fairly low expectations - surprisingly, even those were too high.

Interesting.  While he is sitting there on the shoulder, dozens of cars go past in the right lane. Which is what he was being ticketed for?  Unreal.

I wish I understood who started the push to make Kasich seem more acceptable. He is another big government liberal, and a poor statesman to boot. His changing stance on whatever Goerge Soros seems to think is aggravating, and his whining is almost as bad as Ben Carson's. I liked Carson until he replaced well thought out positions for whining about how mean the press was, and how evil ted Cruz said he was suspending his campaign.

I like this one too......

http://www.voicesofliberty.com/article/libertarian-nearly-defeated-ohio-gov-john-kasich/

"July 29, 2015—Above is the phrase liberal (barely a) Republican Governor John Kasich hopes will send his falling political star back into the milky way of relevancy. His long shot campaign is hinging on the hope that something terrible will happen to every other establishment candidate in the race, or that said establishment candidate will see fit to adopt him onto their ticket out of lack of choice."

I'm just exhausted by this whole Election 2016 charade.  Even to use the word "reason" in connection with it seems oxymoronic.

But I suppose we need to keep thinking.  Still, speaking of "low expectations," mine keep spiraling downward as this cycle plods on.
