Title: Some good election news
Post by: Becky (My pronouns are Assigned/By/God) on November 08, 2023, 06:32:56 PM
We worked hard on a campaign for Port Commissioner and our candidate just won! The Port runs the airport and was running it into the ground with woke, stupid decisions. They stopped helping host events at the airport to bring life to it. They balked at everything good in aviation.  They ran the Port into big debt. They fell for green energy grifting companies that later disappeared. They turned away a turbine repair company because it would be too noisy! Idiots and woke narcissists all, from the manager to two of the commissioners on the three-person board.

But a few years ago we also campaigned for that third commissioner and she won! But she kept pretty quiet until we could get our guy on there. Now we have an aviation majority!

We’re pretty thrilled. I bet the Port manager is getting her resume together. She’ll never survive with all that real energy and capability on the commission. The coolest thing is that the guy who just won tonight was the Port manager for 17 years and the current creeps forced him out. He retired, and now can visit karma on them all.

This fake Wokeness forcing "green" energy scams and destructive decision making has got to END. It is the opposite of what society should be doing to right itself.  Glad to see it start happening at least somewhere.

How long before the dangerous CLEAN AIR crisis is determined to be a national emergency??

Calling for opinions. We’re going to an open house next week to gather info on this project. It smells partly okay and partly green energy grifting scam to me. These clever people suck in the local government folks with virtue signalling about saving the earth, big grants are awarded, but the project stalls and eventually vanishes entirely, leaving the money in someone’s pocket.

Do you think this sounds wholly legit? It’s not the airport I mentioned earlier regarding the Port commission race. That airport is a few miles away and in another port district.

Other than the planning processes for putting a development of any kind there... all the green energy stuff likely duplicates work being performed by other organizations.

What would you like to see that property used for?

Niche manufacturing?  Somebody better do their research. Maybe niche will take off, unforeseen, but I would think lower risk investment would be in mainstream established industries.  But then I’m no forward thinking genius who is going to predict which “niche” is going to become the next big thing.  It’s not like I bought a BitCoin when it first came out.

My BS detectors flashed double red at “electric and hydrogen powered aircraft” and “private space exploration.” Like Bezos and the Virgin Atlantic guy? They should fund their own adventures. And I still think electric and hydrogen are being used by grifters to woo government, get money, then disappear with it.

The land is currently used for farmland, and I’d like to see it stay that way. We need food.
