Title: The Restrict Act
Post by: EppyGA - White Christian Domestic Terrorist on April 01, 2023, 07:13:46 PM
While the world is focused on the Trump indictment, Congress is working to take away your last shred of free speech. If these two acts Restrict Act and Data Act pass, it's all over.

The US has been in a constitutional crisis since the election of 2020.  The people we voted to represent us in congress and the senate did not try to stop a blatant election steal, and in many cases participated in the steal.

We now have what's referred to as the "Deep State", the permanent political class in Washington that is accountable to no one.  Enabling this are elected politicians, and while they may have party affiliation, are in reality one party dedicated to power and control.

They no longer fear the voter, because the system is rigged to their favor.  They decide on who wins elections, and which office is held.  They look at the citizenry in absolute contempt.

We are also now in a police state.  This country has political prisons and re-education facilities.  Censorship is now mainstream.

  The Rubicon has been crossed.

And nobody is going to do a damn thing about it.

And nobody is going to do a damn thing about it.

Permanent Washington is entrenched, operating the forth branch of government, the Intelligence Branch.  Included in that is the Censorship Industrial Complex.   They are firmly in control.

The FBI is getting a new building supposedly larger than the Pentagon.  The police state is here and growing.

Ever wonder the purpose of "Defund the Police"?   In a nutshell, this is a movement to defund local and state level police agencies and REPLACE them with federal level police.

  It's time for secession.

This is extremely dire. Outlawing VPNs equates us to China.  This might push me over to favor secession.

The Free States must act.  The Leftist and the UniParty are cancers, and must be removed.   The Blue Shithole states are leeches sucking on the wealth of the Free States.

We've passed the tipping point.  There is still a lot of denial, and in that denial is "well, if we just elect (______) this will be fixed".

  It's gone too far.

I'm for dissolving the country and going back to the Articles of Confederation.

Thinking back some, a lot of this arises from writing bills that give the power to the unelected bureaucrats that run the Government these days. I don't believe that was ever intended to happen, but here we are.

Except the "elected" bureaucrats are no better. Private Corporations are now entrenched with the Political/Government class (deep state establishment) to form the perfect Fascist state. The Democratic Republic of Los Estados Unidos.

Our "elected" officials don't even read the legislation they vote on.  And that legislation is not written by them, it's written by staff who are a part of permanent Washington.

That's how fucked up this has become.   We no longer have a government "of the people".

Nor is our government any longer "for the people."

We have several government agencies that continue to grant themselves more power through administrative law than was ever intended through civil law.   This administrative law is crafted by career bureaucrats with no oversight from congress.

I would actually like to see that.
But there just might be an unintended consequence or two in there somewhere, if not thought out long and hard.

There are a lot of very bad consequences.  But it is a matter of weighing those bad consequences against the bad consequences of continuing as the world’s foremost superpower if it becomes a complete and total dictatorship.

Becomes?

it's been so long since I visited that document.  It's a great way to wrest control away from the federal government and let states do what they do best.  There are some things that do need to be federalized such as defense but beyond that, not much.  This is a great idea.

It needs a new name. "Articles of Confederation" is clearly racist.

You got that right. Government, bureaucracy and politicians, for the Government, of the Government and for their own growth and profit.

The new Royalty.

I haven't taken the time to read the act, but have seen some Tweets saying that it make using VPN's illegal.

My understanding VPNs aren’t technically illegal but it will authorize the government to investigate, snoop and spy on you for using a VPN if it thinks you are visiting sites that pose a “foreign risk” or might be doing forbidden activities such as “election interference”.  Which covers a lot of territory.

It is similar to the Patriot Act in the sense of broadening feds powers to dig into your internet activities but far worse even than the Patriot Act.

I haven't taken the time to read the act, but have seen some Tweets saying that it make using VPN's illegal.

"(1) poses an undue or unacceptable risk of—
(A) sabotage or subversion of the design, integrity, manufacturing, production, distribution, installation, operation, or maintenance of information and communications technology products and services in the United States;"

Making VPNs illegal would violate the above portion of the proposed Act in that it would kill the integrity of IT services.
