Title: Countdown to Civil War

Quote
"Two or more sides disagree on who runs the country. And they can't settle the question through elections because they don't even agree that elections are how you decide who's in charge. That's the basic issue here. Who decides who runs the country? When you hate each other but accept the election results, you have a country. When you stop accepting election results, you have a countdown to a civil war."

Feelings define identity politics. Identity politics are the foundation of today's leftist Democrat party. Feeling like a victim defines you as a victim. The Democrat party is the party of self-defined victimhood that embraces people of every color, age, religion, gender, sexual preference, and socio-economic status. What they do not tolerate is anyone who thinks differently. What binds these disparate groups together is their hatred for President Trump and refusal to accept the 2016 presidential election outcome. They do not accept President Trump as their president because they don't like him and since their feelings are more important than facts they behave as if he is not president. They are participating in the countdown to civil war.

Two generations of Americans have been deliberately indoctrinated toward collectivism in the leftist narrative that prioritizes feelings over facts. The Democrat leaders are deliberately exploiting the compliant and unaware young people that leftist indoctrination has produced. Anti-American Americans who refuse to accept the election outcome are the social justice warriors that have been duped into supporting the fiction of leftist socialism. Their leaders knowingly created divisiveness to produce the social chaos that will make the United States ungovernable. Why? Social chaos leads to civil war. Politics makes civil wars - not guns.

Well, if they do start a civil war, you, and I both know who has the guns, and who knows how to use them.

I actually think that this election will reduce some of the divisiveness.
Liberals feel a little bit redeemed and Conservatives didn't really lose too much.  Yeah, Congress will not be friendly to Trump, but the sitting Congress was never exactly Trump's best friend.
And we still control the Senate, which "advises and consents" on SCOTUS picks.  That is a big thing.
Actually, we NOW control the Senate.  When the R's had a 1 point margin, and one of those was McCain, they didn't control anything.

That's a good point, it makes me feel a little better.

The reality now is dealing with Pelosi will actually be little different than dealing with Paul Ryan.

Now with a larger majority in the senate, the senate RINO's won't matter as much.

Will go out on a limb and say we're way, way off from a civil war. As a general statement, it often feels "worse than it ever has been", but invariably it isn't, it just feels that way. Now, sometimes it is worse than it ever has been. But I don't think this is it.

There will be no civil war.  Things would have to get really bad for the average person who seems to be willing to give up freedom for a false sense of security.

It does feel less divisive for the moment. I’m going to go out on a limb here and predict that the Dems will regroup, hash things over, and try to put a better face on. They have GOT to know, surely by now, that the reason they didn’t do better yesterday is because their own puerile lust for power has for two years been gunned too high, and it literally repulsed people. I imagine they have teams of people scouring WalkAway testimonials to see how they as a party can do better.

Right. Anyway. Maybe.

Not going to happen, they can't help themselves and they only know how to mean.

Not going to happen, they can't help themselves and they only know how to mean.

There's something to consider in that statement.

They are bitter that the deplorables are holding them back and keeping them from their agenda. Those deplorable voters ruined their chance at the "fundamental transformation" promised by the Mocha Messiah.

The alt left progressives use fear and intimidation to advance their agenda when they can't through the ballot box or through the courts.

And I will tell you why there won't be one. The angry left just won't step up and do anything more than rant and rave. Notwithstanding tipping over some trashcans on campus, and leaving shit on a few cop cars, that is the extent the left is willing to go to defend their 'principles'.

If Texas turns blue, the left will have a lock on the Presidency.

The problem with publicably educated progressives is hard little useful educating was done.
For all the grand gestures and testimonials about how wonderful and sacrificial teachers are, there are far too many that are still simply lazy, dull, just putting in their time and allowing their true communists peers to twist the students into anything they want.
