Knowing the history of Mueller I would venture to say this is a ploy, a political decoy.
Or, given that Mueller is up to his neck in the Russian Collusion/ Uranium One scandal he maybe playing his hand to save his own ass.

The Clinton Russian Collusion/Uranium One scandal is one of the biggest scandals to hit Washington DC since Watergate. If the investigation doesn’t get covered up and justice prevails lots of high profile establishment types will be indicted, starting with HRC.
The Dems have lots to lose with this and maybe the final nail in the coffin for the progressives who have hijacked the party.

I suspect (very strongly) that the Clintons will use everything at their disposal to destroy those who know their criminal behavior and those who attempt to ferret it out.
Harvey Weinstein's head is on a pike right now to keep the from paying close attention to the Uranium One scandal. I wonder if the Las Vegas shooting was another ploy to hijack attention away from it.
The shooter was so obviously a far left democrat and his behavior was so far off the scale that holding a conspiracy theory about him might be appropriate.

I have my doubts as well. As this unfolds we are now seeing much of the motive to the phony Trump Russia Collusion story. Odd how the players in the Clinton Russian Collusion/Uranium One scandal (Rod Rosenstein, Andrew McCabe, Robert Mueller and James Comey) are now all involved in the phony Trump investigation.
I said it before, this is one of the biggest scandals to hit DC since Watergate, and the media is doing all they can to look the other way. And Mueller is spending Million$ of our tax dollars trying to gin up some evidence, aanything, he can pin on Trump in hopes of keeping the heat off of him and the Clintons. It's as dirty as it gets.

While I agree with the sentiment, it unfortunately would open a can of worms. Jeff Sessions should fire Mueller for his involvement in Uranium One and then launch an investigation on the Clintons, Mueller, Rosenstein, Comey and McCabe. The phony Trump Investigation should also be shut down on the grounds that it was a clear politically motivated investigation with no basis in fact.
The only silver lining I am seeing in all of this is the mainstream democrats are sick and tired of the Clintons. Perhaps, just perhaps they are seeing this as a way to finally rid themselves of them and get a fresh start to start climbing out their hole. Unfortunately their party is still being run by the lunatic progressives that they also need to kick to the curb.

Sessions is a part of the establishment. He has been a real disappointment as AG, albeit better than the last two buffoons that occupied the AG post. But Sessions is loyal to his masters which will be his ultimate undoing.

I have no problem with any of what's going on right now. Leaks have stopped coming out of Mueller's investigation, I presume because those who did the leaking in the past (and they're all democrats) don't want the information they're finding to become public. That would imply that it's damaging not just to Hillary but also to the Democrat party in general. It looks like a lot of the political weaponization of government is being exposed. Let the man work.
There is practically no chance of the president being removed from office. Democrats might beat the odds and take over the House next year and impeach him, but they are very unlikely to find 67 votes in the Senate to remove him him from office, so any impeachment proceedings are probably nothing more than a temper tantrum. If they are able to find the votes, it will be for a very, very good reason.

In short, we now have compelling evidence that the dossier was the largest and dirtiest dirty trick of the 2016 campaign. And Clinton, who has played the victim card ever since her loss, was behind it the whole time.

But it leads into even bigger problems such as the actual Clinton-Russian collusion that already has hard evidence and the Uranium One scandal. And this also includes all of the characters in the Mueller investigation as suspects.
My bet is they will throw the Clintons under the bus to save their own asses and the mainstream democrats will welcome the end of the Clinton era.

I think I can assure everyone that NO ONE will ever go to prison from the beltway. Unless there is some kind of violent confrontation any kind of legal trouble will result in fines, censure, loss of position. Truly, not all animals are equal. Many around DC are more equal than others. If I were in charge, there would be massive number of people in jail from both parties.

Hillary Clinton’s campaign and the Democratic National Committee violated campaign finance law by failing to disclose payments for a dossier on Donald Trump, according to a complaint filed Wednesday with the Federal Election Commission.
The complaint from the nonprofit Campaign Legal Center said the Democrats effectively hid the payments from public scrutiny, contrary to the requirements of federal law. By law, campaign and party committees must disclose the reason money is spent and its recipient.
“By filing misleading reports, the DNC and Clinton campaign undermined the vital public information role of campaign disclosures,” said Adav Noti, senior director of trial litigation and strategy at CLC and a former FEC official. “Voters need campaign disclosure laws to be enforced so they can hold candidates accountable for how they raise and spend money. Now, you might expect that the scandalous revelation of a political campaign using opposition research that was partially obtained from a hostile foreign power during a national election would ignite shrieks of “collusion” from all patriotic citizens. After all, only last summer, when it was reported that Donald Trump Jr. met with a Kremlin-linked Russian lawyer who claimed to be in possession of damaging information about Clinton, there was widespread condemnation.
Finally, we were told, a smoking gun tied the Trump campaign to Vladimir Putin. Former Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Kaine went as far as to suggest that the independent counsel begin investigating treason.
Treason! Trump Jr. didn’t even pay for or accept research.
The Clinton crew, on the other hand, did. They didn’t openly push the contents of the dossier — probably because they knew it was mostly fiction. Instead, Fusion GPS leaked it to their friends in the media.

This morning on CNN Headline News (was on the hotel lobby TV) I watched a segment where now CNN is trying to link Trump to Julian Assange. Of course they tried to make it look nefarious as possible, then kept repeating over and over about the "Trump Russian Collusian Investigation".
The next segment was the "Clinton Fusian GPS Dossier" in which we were told that Hillary had no knowledge of before the election. They spent less than a minute on that one. And no mention of Uranium One.
