Call me on having seen too many Star Trek episodes, but something is happening to disturb the continuum. Some “Hate Has No Home Here” signs are being taken down. We used to call those homes the “hate houses.” The WalkAway fb site is flooded with former Dems posting about being fed up. Nasty Nan ripping up the SOTU showed them who is ripping our country in half, and it isn’t Trump. Conservatives we know are starting to confront their leftie friends and refusing to remain silent.
Anybody else seeing this kind of thing? There have been a few posts here about it ... I wonder how big it’ll grow?

I have not seen it, but I live in a hyper-liberal area in California (so you can imagine). Two nights ago we were having dinner at some friends' house. They and my wife were talking about someone I don't know, so I wasn't paying much attention to the conversation until someone (not my wife) almost whispered "He's a Trump supporter." It was said with a tone that was both patronizing and disgusted.
Liberals, and seemingly especially California liberals, never quite pick up on the obvious realities of life. It will be a long time, if ever, before this state is turned around.

I don't know where you live in CA, but I lived in the Bay Area for a while, so know the mentality. The few coastal Metros in CA are Far Left, Progressive. Go inland, and/or North, much different story.
CA is not alone. Go to any Metro area (cities, burbs, and now even ex-burbs) around the country and you get the same, COLLECTIVIST mentality that believe the mainstream media (which comprises at least 95% of all media). It's like some weird, brainwashed, indoctrinated CULT.

The problem is the left, and I include people I know, aren’t satisfied with not liking Trump. They have to demonize him, and in turn demonize everyone who supports him. So that makes it personal to me, and I will no longer put up with it.
My new CAF Operations Officer is a far left IT guy. He has started to drag me into discussions to the point I have to walk away before I say something I can’t take back. He’s now learned not to fuck with me on this.

I have always suspected that the real leftists aren't all that convicted about their convictions and seek to FORCE everyone to agree, if even at the point of a gun, or dangerous violent confrontation, to make themselves feel better about being assholes.

I'm seeing SOME of the non hardcore Leftists, Moderates, and "Independents" largely saying two things.
1. They HATE Trump because he Tweets mean things, but will vote for him due to the economy and the Democrats don't have any viable candidates with any message beyond pandering to illegal aliens, minorities, women and Gays with proposed give aways.
2. They HATE Trump, because they just do, but the Democrats don't have anybody so they will NOT VOTE.
Both are positives for a Trump re-election.

I hope you're right, and I further hope that in four more years a sizable part of the country realizes that Trump's policies really ARE working. Booming economy, record low unemployment, reduced illegal immigration, etc., etc. Because he loves to piss off snowflakes I know that Trump will never stop tweeting, but if he did (or maybe if he never started in the first place) I think that his presidency could well have turned into a major conservative national turnaround. With luck, maybe it will anyway.
Tim (Will this frikkin' board EVER decide I'm not a "newbie"?)
Edit: Okay--now I'm a junior member--I feel much better.

I wonder if you get reset to newbie if some of your posts were deleted. Not that I would ever push for that...

You KNOW I like to moderate this board and exercise my widespread moderator powers to the dismay of the serfs, and peasants. Now you have to dangle this in front of me.

The problem is that others may place their votes for them, the way dead people vote.

The Democrats will use every means of voter fraud they can. Also, they will get out a huge Illegal Alien vote, which is also voter fraud. So, your concern is valid.
