President Trump made his pick.
Oh, yeah... the left has been screaming non-stop since election night, so how will anyone know that the subject changed?
Anthony Kavanugh looked like a good choice.
-
Agreed.
He should get through confirmation.
-
The democrats lack the votes to block him and the party cut its own throat when Dirty Harry changed the rules.
That’s why the lines have changed the whole debate to being all about roe vets wade, instead of the nominee.
-
Cue Diane Feinstein to cut and paste Amy Barrett’s Catholic Inquisition questioning for Kavenaugh.
-
My wife is flipping between CNN and MSNBC, and has taped Rachel Mad Cow and Cuomo’s show later tonight. Pure comedy gold stuff right there.
-
This morning the lunatic democrats were ranting about ‘reckless’ job creation and telemundo was demanding people pay no attention to record low Hispanic unemployment.
Yesterday it was China and tariffs that had them frothing.
Tonight it’s Kavanugh.
They have screamed until people simply stopped listening because their arguments are delusional.

Just wait till the President replaces Darth Vader Ginsburg with Barrett.
I suspect the alt left dems will keep Ginsburg on life support until she's over 100 to keep the conservatives from replacing her.
-
I'm not in love with him, but whatever. He is certainly qualified and elections have consequences.
-
Just keep one thing in mind. If Felonious Von Pantsuits had won we would be witnessing her second pick to the SC, and who only knows what alt left progressive whack job she would be putting on there.
And she would be cementing an alt left SC for the next generation. Think about that.

I predict she’ll assume room temperature before the end of Trump’s 1st term. The Dems will demand the same treatment as Obama’s pick when Scalia died, McConnell will comply, we’ll have an 8-member court for a while, this will be a rallying cry for conservatives, Trump will win a 2nd term in a landslide, Trump will nominate Barrett, and the Dems will explode. Should be very entertaining.

I"d love to see a couple of liberal judges step aside in 2020 and Dems scream that we can't appoint a new Judge in a Presidential election year. Since we said the same thing, we would have to go along with that and wait. Then in 2020,we have a Red Tsunami and Trump gets reelected by a landslide. That's what I'd love to see.

His views on stare decisis should be enough to win over Senators Murkowski and Collins. Add in a few others like Manchin, Donnelly, and Heitkamp and I think he'll pass 54-46, at a minimum.

I would hope that Republicans wouldn't do that. I would hope that, should this scenario happen, Trump nominates another candidate and then the Republicans confirm him/her anyway. It's a win-win situation. Republicans show how silly the "Biden Rule" was to begin with and they get an additional conservative on the Supreme Court in the event that Trump loses. Of course this is assuming that the Republicans keep the Senate this year, and I think they will.

I forgot about Bill Nelson and Claire McCaskill. It'll be interesting to see if they vote for him despite Durbin's threats. The red state Democrats really don't have much to lose. If they vote against him they likely guarantee they their re-election bids and even if they do vote for him, they're still fighting an uphill battle. Durbin's threats really don't make a difference.
-
Bill Nelson is a career do nothing.
He literally has NOTHING to show for his entire career living off the Florida taxpayers.
He is also losing in every poll to Governor Rick Scott.
It makes for a delicious problem for the man who spent eight years so far up obama's ass his skin was bleached white from lack of sunlight.

Oh, he did do something. He bilked the taxpayers millions of dollars so he could go play astronaut and get a ride into space. Millions of dollars wasted.

And scammed the county and the IRS claiming that some fruit trees mixed in with some flowers in a bed was proof that his entire property was agricultural to avoid paying property taxes.
But only little people pay taxes. We know that...
