Look at where energy prices currently stand. We are awash in fossil fuels in the U.S. It is so plentiful, and we are finding more all the time that it should be considered "renewable". The entire anti carbon thing is dying. None of the predictions the Man Made Climate Change advocates have come true. People are tired of their B.S. Mantra.

Yet the Media says nothing about the paradox of low energy prices in an expanding economy. This savings goes right to everyone's bottom line in many, many ways, especially for poor people, and middle income earners who benefit more than the rich from low energy costs. Energy prices don't just affect our commuting, and home energy costs. It effects the cost of EVERY product, and service we buy. It is a HUGE economic benefit.

POA is interesting in its way. I usually check it every few days and look for locked threads, as they are the most interesting. But they seem to be deleting rather than locking lately.

These are the posters that are compulsive liars that feel they need to write out complete bullshit made up stories to add to a thread. Some of it is so over the top it's just laughable, but after a while it gets really annoying.
Henning was the top bullshitter of all time there. He was downright psycho, but yet he still had his legion of fans that lapped up everything he posted. The tradition continues with those aspiring to be his replacement.

It was a test more then anything. Had I led with a link to Ocasio-Cortez's article, it would have devolved overnight and been locked. As it is there have been some good discussions with only a couple of near political responses.

I have no real knowledge of Shepherd’s career, military or otherwise, but many of his stories definitely seem less than truthful to say the least.
As to Tom D, all I will say is that he gives out a lot of bad advice on maintenance issues and on the regs. Unfortunately many listen to him. He seems to have a following.
I haven’t really noticed any huge issues with Zeldman though some of his stories have seemed a bit far fetched though not outside the realm of possibility. At least the ones I’ve read.
Flying Ron is another teller of tall tales. He seems to be an expert on everything.
There are others as well who seem really full of themselves.

Just locked. Rich posted about the idiocy of people protesting against a natural gas pipeline in a state (NY) where all home heating is via "dirtier" fossil fuels like oil, I chimed in with a similar story about VT, and less than an hour later it's locked. I expect Rich and I will both have our ejection handles pulled as the mods consider that to be "politics", but so far they haven't taken that step.

I think a lot of the Liberal/Progressives are afraid to come here because they get called out on their positions that they eventually can not defend. I don't know why some of the more conservative POA members don't come here. Maybe they just don't want to discuss politics that much. Who knows?

It's more than politics. It's not uncommon to see an aviation discussion shut down. I can't see the enjoyment of walking on eggshells when making a post or reply.
