I don't know about you guys, but I'm sick and tired of four leaf clovers constantly being singled out as unusual, out of the ordinary, or different. Why aren't they just "clovers"?

Yes, it is stupid. Why would anyone want to hide the fact that she is a woman. My wife had heard about the event, but didn't know the pilot was a woman. When I told her, her eyes lit up because she was happy to hear that a woman could be recognized that way. She volunteers with school kids and used the opportunity to reach out to young girls who were equally surprised and happy to hear this.
WHY would anyone want to ignore or cover this up?
In a similar vein, I see no problem when I read about a "Black Lawyer" or "Black Doctor" or "Black . . .". I think it is good to make as many people as aware as possible that everyone can succeed, even if it means they have to work harder at it than I do.

Having enjoyed Sun-n-Fun, I was struck by how much attention and enthusiasm surrounds women pilots.
Pilots are critically needed in the coming years so making a point to encourage women aviators is a good idea.
In the age of professional whiners, it was inevitable that some pathetic, pussy, writer would take offense.
Maybe everyone will make a point of ignoring the stupid, pathetic, whiner and enjoy that a woman pilot made everyone proud.
