I didn't ask for it. It was his idea! I have a swollen and painful finger joint. X-ray shows arthritis.
So I looked up the current legal status of the stuff. Here's a good article. At the bottom of the article is a tool where you can put in your state and see the legal status for all four types of CBD in your state.

I'm not worried about FAA certification anymore, I'm not flying. But apparently the FAA issued a statement recently saying CBD oil is not prohibited. However if your CBD oil inadvertently pops a positive pee test, you're screwed.

A good friend of mine, also a pilot ( the guy with the 2007 Bo) told me he is taking it also, but in liquid form and ingesting it for his knee pain. He told me the ortho specialist (MD) that is dealing with his knee issues told him about it. He has indicated it is helping him!
Then his primary Physician told him he may want to stop as they can show false positives for drugs, I assume whatever shows up for Pot. I don't believe CBD is regulated (yet) and there has been reports of less than stellar quality control.

CBD is not regulated. But the FDA and all the pharmaceutical companies are trying. They are scrambling to get it regulated as a prescription drug so they can make $$$$$$
THC is what pee tests look for and some CBD oils might contain enough to trigger a positive pee test although they aren’t supposed to. You can get variations in batches or companies that don’t test and regulate their process properly.

I don’t take CBD and don’t plan to do so, but these damned shops are opening up on every corner in Wisconsin. I’m a consumer beware person, but damn! It looks like consumers are buying into this snake oil like they did in he 1880’s.
