Good bye, good riddance!

Yup. We've a woman molester as President, and a possible Senate molester, and you guys don't even care.
-
I posted in the other thread since I didn't see this one. The Democrats can now claim the moral high ground since Roy Moore not only will not withdraw from the race, but the RNC is back to actively supporting and campaigning for him.

Oh boo hoo! Some of your "icons" have gone down in flames and now you want to cry. Gee, guess that whole sex smear playbook the progressives have been using works against them as well. Funny how they didn't see that coming.
-

Let's see, the progressives lie, cheat and steal as well. So they can claim the "moral high ground" all they want. The evidence is to the contrary.

I'll agree that I don't think they're pushing their own out because they think it's the legitimately right thing to do, but rather it's politically expedient and something they can use to attack the right. That being said, they're still dumping them.

Nancy Pelosi called Conyers an Icon of the party. Just because she said it doesn't make it true.

What woman has been molested by Mr Trump?
BTW, we had a real molester in office between 93 and 01, but you you guys it was "just sex". And if HRC had won, he'd be back stalking there WH interns.
-

Yea, Bill Clinton was a molester, a stalker, a sexual predator and a rapist. And yet the Democrats think he was so wonderful!

I must have missed it - is Roy Moore a molester of women? I thought he was accused of being a man who wanted to have a younger wife? And that someone added a very bad accusation on top of that which just isn't believable unless you're just looking for things to criticize.
But I did get a chuckle out of the terms "Democrats" and "moral high ground" being applied to the same place. Democrats are still very much in the negative on this topic.
-
He actually did marry a much younger woman and adopted her child as his own.
-

You really fail at facts and truth.
No wonder so many of your students rate you as, “RUN, don’t walk away from this professor.”

He's been accused of molesting a 14 year old child.
It also recently came out that he began dating his current wife before she even filed for divorce. That's certainly not illegal, but he does lose his credibility about being a man of God.

Agreed.

My ex-wife started dating her current husband before she left me. That doesn't mean either of them aren't Christians.

I think the way you've described this doesn't paint an accurate picture according to what I've read.
He first met his wife at church in early Dec 1984, 2 weeks after she was separated from her husband.
The divorce was filed in late December 1984.
The two began dating in January 1985.
The divorce was finalized in April. Apparently you can do it quickly in Alabama.
The two were married in December 1985, a year after they met and 8 months after the divorce was finalized.
I see no impropriety there and no reason to question his credibility as "a man of God", other than whether or not you personally question divorce or assume that dating means having sex
As to the accusation, I'm aware of it. It doesn't make sense that he would have picked up a 14 year old girl, drove her to an alleyway, forced her to strip, copped a feel and then stopped. He was looking for a wife, not a cheap thrill. It's completely inconsistent, not to mention completely unproveable.

I'll go back and re-read the article I read that had these details. If I'm wrong, I'll correct my post.

She's not the only accuser. The CNN video I posted is a decent interview in which his spokeswoman doesn't seem to sufficiently answer the questions. Further, he wasn't exactly convincing in Hannity's interview when this all first broke and he also just recently claimed that he's never met any of the accusers after admitting that he has.
-
She's not the only accuser.
It doesn't matter how many there are when they aren't credible.
How about this one? There are more holes in her story than I can count and not because she is remembering them wrong. Her mother says she never had a phone in her room so she would have never been able to talk in secret with the judge. The pickup "just around the corner" was actually over a mile away. She didn't try to commit suicide because of her encounter with Moore as she claimed, in fact her behavioral problems improved after the alledged attack according to court documents. And she is still 40 years late in reporting this.

Are you saying that none of the women are credible? And the phone in her room bit is just silly. Are you saying that kids weren't able to get phones in their room, even by sneaking them in there? The CNN interview also covers that, by the way.
-
I'm saying that I know of no credible accusations against the judge. I know of accusations, but the fact that they are all alleging things that happened 40 years ago taints them immediately. When facts don't line up, it taints them more.
And it was her mother who said she never had a phone in her room, but I guess CNN knows better. In 1985, I never had a phone in my room, primarily because my room did not have a wall jack for a phone. It was a very different time. I attended a private school and I can count on one hand the number of my classmates who had a phone in their room...all where from very well to do families.
-
I'm saying that I know of no credible accusations against the judge.
Not credible according to whom, exactly? Since Washington Post doesn't count, and CNN doesn't count, do highly respected conservatives?
By the way, I noticed you changed your banner from moderate to liberal. Are you now saying you're a liberal or just having fun with the banners?
-
This tweet from Ben Shapiro is good:

Not sure how old you are, but 40 years ago phones had wires. And if there wasn't a phone jack in the room then one needed a long extension to get a phone in the room.
And many homes only had one phone and one phone jack. Our phone was in the kitchen, just like everyone else phone back then.
As far as these tales by these women being credible? Not in a long shot. This is a political sex smear from the word go.
-

Previously Moderate and Liberal. But I think the liberal identification is more important than the moderate. Moderate just means I tend to piss off both sides.
Not credible according to my experience. For example, CNN said that she was picked up "around the corner" from her mother's house on Whittier street in Gadsden. But the intersection named is over a mile away and across a major intersection, not at all "around the corner". That misrepresentation makes me question the rest of the story. Plus, I know how superficially places like CNN report stories where I know the facts, so I naturally question when they give vague details.
Incidentally, all the houses on Whittier St in Gadsden were built between 1940 and 1960. It is unthinkable that they had phone jacks in a bedroom.

Exactly. I was 17 years old then. Maybe that’s why dating was more common. You couldn’t just hang in the kitchen chatting with your girlfriend while your mom made meat loaf. So you went out, as often as possible.

I predict that if Roy Moore is elected next Tuesday Franken will not step down.

It's a setup from the Alt Left for sure. The whole resignation speech reeked.

Wait......you want us to believe CNN after their big fiasco last week about the Wikileaks date error? That is very funny.

And this morning while others news was talking about the terrorist bombing in NYC, CNN's top story was how many sodas Trump drinks in a day.

Meanwhile Julian Assange has tweeted out this gem.....

Yup. We've a woman molester as President
Assumes facts not in evidence - but since when has the left cared about evidence?
It continues to amaze me how much tighter the left gets their panties in a knot over what Trump SAID, vs. what so many of the left's leading figures DID.
TDS is real.

That has traditionally been my Plan A.

No matter what, if a Republican is impugned it's Fake News or they're lying, but if a Democrat is accused it has to be for real. You guys are wonderfully predictable.
-

Wonderfully predictable is the domain of the Alt Left Progressives.
They can’t accept that they have lost spectacularly over the past 9 years. They can’t accept the outcome of a legitimate election for president.
So the progressive playbook comes out. Before the presidential election the sex slams come out. Each one was looked at and proven politically driven.
Then after the election upset, the narrative became “Russian Collusion”. After a year of Senate investigations, House investigations, Intelligence investigations, FBI investigations and a Special Counsel.........nothing.
Now that’s gone bust, the narrative becomes “He’s mentally unfit”. Again, smear after smear with no actual evidence.
Back to the playbook, bring back the sex smears.
Totally Predictable.
-

You do know there are pictures of Franken

Franken was a fake resignation.

Franken was a fake resignation.
Yep, he isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. It’s a set up.

Do you actually think before you post?
This type of drivel is almost enough to make us doubt your sanity. If you told us you were a nineteen year old, progressive, snowflake, these types of ridiculous accusations might make sense, but you claim to be both educated and an adult.
-

I'm not sure that it's a set up, but I do think that if Moore wins (and I think he will) that it'll provide the justification for Franken to withdraw his resignation.
-

Could be its referring to his seven cats. Can't take them to the beach though. They'd bury him in the sand.
-
I should add that the governor of Minnesota has said that he’s going to announce Franken’s replacement tomorrow morning. It’ll be another liberal.
-
I'm not sure that it's a set up, but I do think that if Moore wins (and I think he will) that it'll provide the justification for Franken to withdraw his resignation.
That's in the playbook.
-

Franken has to resign first before he can be replaced.
We'll see.
And yes, expect the Governor to name another alt left loon to replace him.
-

It looks like the Minnesota governor has appointed his Lt. Governor, Tina Smith, to fill Franken's seat. I haven't seen anything about a date which Franken will actually leave. It's going to be pretty embarrassing for the Democratic Party if Franken decides to withdraw his seat.
-
Now they don't want him to resign. Moore lost we can get off our high horse now.
https://www.politico.com/story/2017/12/18/manchin-franken-senate-resign-300843
At least four senators are urging Al Franken to reconsider resigning, including two who issued statements calling for the resignation two weeks ago and said they now feel remorse over what they feel was a rush to judgment.
-

I saw this. The article also said that he still intends to announce his formal resignation in early January. The governor also already announced his replacement, so this will be an embarrassing moment for the Democrats if he stays. Not to mention, there was actual proof for at least one allegation against him.
-

He also said for the longest time he would not resign.
Right now the MN Dem & Rep are fighting over what happens to with the LT Governors replacement. If it comes out in the Rep favor the Dems might not want Franken to resign.
-
My bet is he doesn't go anywhere. He will say there is a groundswell movement begging him to stay and "resist". Several more progressive senators will step forward asking him to stay.
His whole "resignation" was a political play just in case Roy Moore had won. Now that the progressives and the establishment have insured that didn't happen, it's back to business as usual.
BTW, the Senate Leadership Fund has a new target in their sights now, Kelli Ward. She will run to replace Jeff Flake in 2018. Watch the playbook go into action once again.
-
Gosh, he can't even resign correctly. Even his resignation in disgrace is a disgrace.
-
Franken is fighting his admitted resignation. He doesn't want to leave. The party may have to force him out, or maybe do something really stupid to keep him. The Governor already has appointed a replacement so to go back would look really bad for the Dems, but that hasn't stopped them before.
-
Here is the problem.
MN Governor (Dem) appoints LT Governor (Dem) then the Senate President (Rep) becomes LT Governor.
Normally a special election would be held for the empty Senate seat.
Rep control the senate by a single vote 34-33, They say the new LT governor can also stay a senator. Of course Dem say she can not.
https://www.minnpost.com/politics-policy/2017/12/constitutional-mess-created-tina-smiths-appointment
Now there is a possible plan to make a deal.
Call a special session - Senate vote for a new President Of the Dem choice - that person then becomes LT Governor - Senate elect the old President again.

Yeah, Frankin's not leaving.
Like all good Democrats, he carefully parsed his words in that speech. He never said he actually WOULD resign.
