"The congressional GOP is sending a very dangerous message. They're basically telling their voters elections don't matter and no matter what you vote for, nothing changes," he said.
He said the system is "dysfunctional," since you have judges legislating while Congress holds "pseudo-court hearings" on things like Russian election interference.
"We have district court judges who presume to make immigration policy and Congress, meanwhile, can't legislate anything. ... They're not doing what they're meant to be doing!" he said.

Steyn, Rush and Hannity get it - the R's don't - the D's will have a popular revolt first (see challengers for Pelosi), but both major parties are about to get a will-of-the-people enema, and it is long overdue.
Really cannot adequately convey my consternation and disappointment with their continued lack of testicular fortitude and vision, especially after being given the keys to the kingdom.

That is exactly why I think term limits are badly needed. I think a lot of politicians start out as optimistic idealists. But over time, the power gets to them, and the power of incumbency keeps them there forever.

I agree. The intent was never to have career politicians, that become like royalty.
