Lots of folks employed, its true.  How much that's due to his Trumpness versus persistently low energy prices is quite debatable.  What isn't debatable is most of the wealth generated is staying in very few hands, not a lot of it is percolating down.

I do not talk to many people about wealth.  Part of it is due to the fact that I am not a social butterfly, part is due to the fact that we have some money saved and I do not brag.  My wife is frugal. I used to be before I became a pilot (I still spend less than I could).

One set of grandparents had a paid for farm. 

My other grandparents had a few hundred thousand in the bank.  He worked a union job and grandma was a stay at home mom. They saved like crazy.

We come from savers.  That being said, most of our family spend like crazy. 

If you spend everything you bring in, you will never have any money or be wealthy. 

Pointing out that some people are wealthy and other are not is a cop out.
