Title: Engine Out in Jabiru
Post by: Jaybird180 on April 28, 2016, 01:14:40 PM

They are WAAAAY too calm for this to be an actual emergency.  I'm thinking it was staged.

They're calm because Jabirus fail all the time. SOP. Kind of like flying 2 stroke ultralights. ;)

Seems to glide quite well, not a lot of nose down in the video.

I was asking myself the same thing. It's less insightful without audio.

no audio is actually a blessing... considering that so many people can't resist the temptation to add really really really crappy muzak to the audio to any video.

I've noticed that!  I was sitting with my iPad yesterday watching a flying video from the Bold Method aviation site and it sounded like cheesy porn music.

The only person I know with a Jabiru is Eric Jensen who participates on the AOPA, and POA boards.  He seems to be happy with his.  He used to have a Mooney M20F that I flew when I lived in Colorado.
