I think Trump listens to the "experts" and makes decisions based on that. We've watched the country head long to totalitarianism in the last month or less. Little dictator mayor and governors all over the country have imposed and continue to impose sanctions on our everyday lives.
This all based on what Dr. Fauci and Dr. Birx are telling President Trump behind the scenes. We should not forget these two are both Democrats at heart and might be be predestined to do anything that would head the country in the direction it is currently going.
Could it be that Trump has fucked up at this point? I know he hasn't ordered any of this and in reality cannot, but the guidelines have unleashed this crap on our country and we are watching it being destroyed right in front of our eyes.
Is this the end of the U.S. as we know it? Will we every go back or is the end in sight?

Rush just read a big opinion piece that says just that. Trump’s base loves him because he is on their side against the ruling elite, but in this pandemic he is being seen as siding with the ruling elite in the form of liberal Fauci and Birx and that right there might be what loses him the election.

What choice does Trump have at this point? Yes, I think he soon needs to do the right thing, step up and do what real leaders do and end this shutdown. This is what happens when much of the world, Progressives domestically and internationally want a President GONE. Also, it is enabled by a MEDIA that is also largely Progressive and HATES Trump.

The Deep State is firmly in control at this point. Had the President gone against the CDC idiots, the leftist and their media would have decimated him and claimed he didn't care, and only cares about the economy. Had he gone along with them, then the leftist and their media would proclaim he hasn't done enough, and he's only interfering with them. Pick your poison.
In retrospect, I wish he would have vetoed the stimulus bill due to all the leftist demands and BS inserted, and stood firm he wouldn't sign until they cleaned it up. Of course, he would have been decimated over that.
He should have gone on national TV and explained to Americans why this was bad, and he only wanted the funds to address the problem.

The Deep State along with the Establishment created the perfect storm, with the extra added benefit of launching full blown tyranny on the citizens under the guise of a pandemic. As one article mentioned, martial law without calling it martial law.
Right now I'm optimistic. The next few days will tell. If the deep state obstructs and tries to stop the reopening of the economy, and succeeds, then we're toast. If it does get reopened, then I feel there is a reckoning coming in this country.

I agree. While I think a Trump waivers between businessman and president, he has his three eldest children as his advisors, who are there to remind him of the business economy.
He still believes this has to stop, despite enormous pressure from the “experts.”
I think he’ll make the right decision and end this idiocy.

But when, and will we be too far gone to recover anytime in the not too distant future? This needs to end April 30th, or at least we need to BEGIN a staged, but not drawn out, re-start of the economy on May 1st. If this goes into June, July, August, bend over and kiss you ass goodbye economically.

My patience has an expiration date and it’s April 30. If we don’t start reopening then I would be prepared to follow whomever wants to lead an armed revolt. The American people cannot allow ourselves to be cowed into voluntarily committing total economic destruction. If we do then we will deserve the hell that is coming.

I brought that up earlier today with a friend of mine who belongs to the same gun club. We shoot together a lot. He's a Marine. Anyway, he said forget any type of push back, armed or not. That ship has sailed. We have become a nation of people that are addicted to consumerism and comfort. Look how most just rolled over for this and if you bring up any resistance they bully you into submission, or try to. I will not be bullied, but I am one person.
Now Government steps in to try to retain people's level of comfort. How long can that work?

This will happen no matter when we reopen. We can stay shut down another year and the first person to die from covid19 after that the media will be screaming how Trump killed them. Even if he doesn’t win in November and it’s the dem president that reopens, the death will still be blamed on Trump. Hell, all the current deaths are being blamed on Trump already!
ABC falsely reported that there was intel in November that this virus was coming and that report has been debunked but to my knowledge ABC has yet to issue a retraction. So all of this is Trump’s fault because he didn’t DO SOMETHING back in November. You can’t make this shit up.
