When I first saw that I wondered what dispatch or whatever is the controlling authority said when that engineer called in to say he just crashed into an airplane.

Many years ago when the Navy Pea coats were the rage I was talking with a guy who was wearing one.  A lady walking by was all enamored by his coat and asked him how much it cost.  He said 'Four years'.

At the end of Oct my wife went to a 'Right to life' meeting in Manchester and took 4 other women with her.  A couple of days after the meeting all 5 came down with Covid.  I got it 2 days later.  Neither my wife or I have had any shots but the other 4 women did.  2 had J&J, 1 Modena and the other had Pfizer with the boosters.  The youngest was 68 and the oldest 82.  Now we don't know if one of the women brought the virus with them or they caught it at the function.  It took about 2 weeks for all of us to get over it.  As one lady told Phyllis why did I bother getting the shot that made me sick for a couple of days when it didn't do any good?  However, none of us have any other real health problems.

. I think a lot of VFR only pilots seriously under estimate just how quickly you will become disoriented and crash.
As a flight instructor for the last 40 some years I agree with that!

The Coyote Principle
CALIFORNIA
• The Governor of California is jogging with his dog along a nature trail. A coyote jumps out and attacks the Governor's dog, then bites the Governor.
• The Governor starts to intervene, but reflects upon the movie "Bambi" and then realizes he should stop because the coyote is only doing what is natural.
• He calls animal control. Animal Control captures the coyote and bills the state $200 testing it for diseases and $500 for relocating it.
• He calls a veterinarian. The vet collects the dead dog and bills the State $200 testing it for diseases.
• The Governor goes to hospital and spends $3,500 getting checked for diseases from the coyote and on getting his bite wound bandaged.
• The running trail gets shut down for 6 months while Fish & Game conducts a $100,000 survey to make sure the area is now free of dangerous animals.
• The Governor spends $50,000 in state funds implementing a "coyote awareness program" for residents of the area.
• The State Legislature spends $2 million to study how to better treat rabies and how to permanently eradicate the disease throughout the world.
• The Governor's security agent is fired for not stopping the attack. The state spends $150,000 to hire and train a new agent with additional special training for the nature of coyotes.
• PETA protests the coyote's relocation and files a $5 million suit against the state.
TEXAS
• The Governor of Texas is jogging with his dog along a nature trail. A coyote jumps out and attacks his dog.
• The Governor shoots the coyote with his state-issued pistol and keeps jogging. The Governor has spent $.50 on a .45 ACP hollow point cartridge.
• The buzzards eat the dead coyote.
And that, my friends, is why California is broke and Texas is not.

I know it's a clusterfuck, and I think the blame rests entirely on Biden's shoulders.  But I'd rather we got out in a clusterfuck than stay there any longer.  Good fucking riddance.

I agree, we should have gotten out long ago.  However, the way this withdrawal is going shows that Biden is a very weak president and our enemies have noticed and will take advantage of us.  I feel we will pay in spades for this in time.

I agree with the above.  The local TV is going apeshit over Henri paying us a visit.  I almost broke out laughing on one of the Boston stations it seemed the weather girl was almost having an orgasm reporting about what conditions to expect, etc.  I did fire up and check the generator today just in case. I don't expect anything worse than wind and rain here in southeast New Hampshire.  Time will tell.

This song was very popular in Russia during WW!!.  It's about a girl waiting for her lover to return from the war.  Katusha (sp?) was also the name of rockets the Russians loved to use against the Germans.

Two elderly women were out driving in a large car. Being short, like many elderly woman are, neither of them could barely see over the dashboard.
As they were cruising along, they came to an intersection. The top light was red, but they just drove straight on through it.
The woman in the passenger seat thought to herself, “I must be losing it, I could have sworn we just went through a red light.”
After a few more minutes, they came to another intersection, and this time the light was red again, and again they went right through.
This time the woman in the passenger seat was almost sure that the light had been red, but was really concerned that she was losing it.
She was getting really nervous now, and decided to pay very close attention to the road and sat up straighter to see what was going on
At the next intersection, sure enough, the light was definitely red, and they sailed right on through it.
She turned to the other woman and said, “Mildred, did you know we just ran through three red lights in a row! You could have killed us.”
Mildred turned to her and said, “Oh Shit, am I driving?
