Title: In canada
Post by: bflynn on November 10, 2016, 09:57:50 AM
Ok, unlike a lot of the hollywood types with the big mouths, the election is over and I am actually IN Canada now.

Canada is not a consolation prize that you get because you lost an election.  It's actually a pretty nice if a bit liberal of a country.  It gets cold up here in the winter - the worst I've personally seen was 90C below and it was a "you're not going to work because your car isn't starting" kind of day.  The people are kind and although they are concerned about NAFTA, they are not tearing their hair out or gnashing their teeth over it.

If you're the type who gets so angry because your girl lost, you probably won't make it in Canada anyway.  I've heard talk about them building a wall on their southern border to keep the riff-raff from the south out.  No sense letting them come in and corrupt the country.

So DROP all the drama over "I'm moving to Canada".  You're not good enough to live up here.

And no, I didn't move here, I'm here for work.

Canada only has two seasons, winter and road repair.

Yeah, you can keep Canada as a place to live, but visiting is OK.  I used to do a lot of business there, and often went to Montreal, Toronto, Ottawa, and Vancouver.  Skied Whistler/Blackcomb many times, and had a blast.
