Title: Home deliveries should be banned!
Post by: Lucifer on March 12, 2018, 10:51:11 AM
After this, we need a new federal law banning all home deliveries.

Shouldn't the government only ban home deliveries to black homes, since both bombs went off at black homes?

Are schools doing enough to educate students about the dangers of delivering bombs to black homes?

Is it the bomb or the box that is really the culprit here? Shouldn't the government be banning all boxes? Boxes are not only dangerous but as you can clearly see, they are racist.

I think students should walk out of schools all over the country in protest that people under 21 are allowed to buy boxes without proper federal oversight and registration.

When boxes are outlawed, only outlaws will have boxes.

From an online petition:
Quote
The Austin bomber is a domestic terrorist. Period. We cannot allow elected officials, law enforcement agents, and the media to continue this false narrative that white men who commit acts of violence are out of the ordinary.

By accurately naming the packaged bombs as acts of domestic terrorism, it sets a precedent for how law enforcement should respond to bias violence in our country — which will ultimately force the general public to acknowledge the high rate of white supremacist violence and pressure government officials to provide the resources needed for prevention.

Tell Austin Police Chief Brian Manley: Condemn the serial package bombings as a domestic terrorist attack!

The morning of March 2nd, Anthony House picked up a package from his front porch that contained a detonated bomb--he became the first person killed in this act of terror.1 Seventeen-year-old Draylen Mason became the second victim on March 12th. Draylen brought a package into his kitchen and a detonated bomb went off, killing him and injuring his mother. Later that day, another explosion severely injured 75-year-old Esperanza Herrera.2 Chief Manley suspected these two lethal bombs placed on victim's doorsteps were connected. Police Chief Manley has a responsibility to classify these serial bombings as bias motivated violence.

Demand Austin Police Chief Manley acknowledges the package bombs as domestic terrorism.

There is an evil history of protecting white men who enact terror on people of color, especially Black people, in this country. Black folks have been finding bombs outside of their homes and churches, and experiencing violent domestic terror attacks since the moment we stepped foot on this continent. In 1998, Texan James Byrd Jr. was hog-tied to the back of a truck by three white supremacists and dragged to his death. The then-Texas Governor George W. Bush refused to take action.3 The tracking of hate crimes in Texas and in this country are unreliable, especially when the perpetrator is a white man.

Despite the uptick in hate crimes since Trump’s election, law enforcement officials in Texas continue to under-report racially motivated acts of violence.4 It’s time that electeds and law enforcement officials honor the laws that we’ve passed to protect us.

Demand that Texas authorities report the Austin serial bombings as an act of domestic terrorism.

It’s frustrating to know that if the bomber was a person of color, they would have immediately been identified as a criminal or terrorist. Conditt is being depicted as someone who comes from a good family and an intellect who's a little "rough around the edges".5 This type of characterizing is harmful because it paints a serial killer as a "good ol boy" who otherwise is trustworthy. The truth is, Conditt is an American terrorist. There is no other way to explain detonated bombs being placed on the porches of people of color with the intent to kill them.

To be clear - this is not about giving law enforcement agencies more authority and resources to surveil communities of color. It's about bearing witness to the targeted violence marginalized communities often face and the forcing electeds and law enforcement to effectively identify and prevent these acts of hate.

Tell Chief Manley he has a responsibility to avenge the murders of people in Texas and identify the Austin bombing as domestic terrorism.

I think this has already been called domestic terrorism, the bomber blew himself up, and they are looking at the bombers roommate as a person of influence. What is left to do to “avenge the deaths”?

Sounds like a racist looking to stir outrage for a race war.  And you are advancing that. Not surprised.

JayBird is race baiting, again.
It’s truly stunning. It’s tax season so I haven’t been following stories too closely, but it looks like law enforcement did a fucking damned good job, tracking down this terrorist within days and closing in on him while he was driving.

Yet racists need to once again divide us.  Smh.

There was a significant period of time where the media and the Sherriff played to the sympathies for the bomber and didn't label this as terrorism.
Assuming the petition was written when that was still the case (which I  haven't yet accepted as fact as changed) what's your solution since you're accusing the petition writer of "rabble (sic) rousing"????

You accuse me of race baiting after you trivialize 2 deaths due to domestic terrorism?!?!!!!
You're the OP. The other posters followed your tone-deaf lead.

Your hood is showing.

Here's what WaPo, had to say

Authorities avoided using the “terrorist” label, instead describing Conditt — a white man — as a troubled person motivated by frustrations in his life.

Interim Austin police chief Brian Manley said Conditt made a 25-minute video “confession” on his cellphone explaining how he built seven explosive devices.

[ Austin bomber was frustrated with his life, authorities say ]

“Having listened to that recording, he does not at all mention anything about terrorism, nor does he mention anything about hate,” Manley said in a news conference Wednesday. “But instead, it is the outcry of a very challenged young man talking about challenges in his personal life that led him to this point.”

Other officials also declined to tie the bombings to terrorism. White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders tweeted that there “is no apparent nexus to terrorism at this time.” Asked whether the suspect was a terrorist in an interview with Fox and Friends Wednesday, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott darted around the label.

I’m not going to respond to your straw man. Prove your assertion. It was a relatively shot period of time (a week maybe?) between the first bombing and finding the bomber.

In what world did ANYONE “play to the sympathies for the bomber”?  Again, prove it.

As for classifying something as terrorism, I agree personally that this was terrorism, and it has been called terrorism by officials.  What is this “significant period of time” and what does it matter?

Could they have possibly been keeping their cards close to the vest while they hunted this fucker?

Here’s a friendly hint.  Stop crying wolf when there is no wolf. You’ll gain more credibility when the wolf actually shows up.

Maybe Jaybird is still stinging from the news about his god, farrakhan and the democratic party machine that bows to him.

There was certainly nothing supporting the criminally insane bomber coming from anywhere but jaybird's keyboard, as he faithfully takes up every racist dog whistle and blows it with extreme prejudice.

You made the assertion to which I laid a challenge. I provided a reference. The burden of proof is on you not I.

Ummm.... Just because you can parrot the opinions of a classic progressive, whiner, does not require intelligent rebuke. Opinions are not facts, except in the fantasies of angry black men, who think racism is the reason other people succeed.

Austin Police Chief called bomber “domestic terrorist” today. I hope that makes Jaybird happy.
