Title: Illeglal Immigrants

During her Fox and Friends interview, Mendoza expressed her frustration with Washington more broadly, stating: “The Democrats want [illegal immigrants] here for voter base, and the Republicans want them here for cheap labor, so we are basically hitting our heads against the wall.”

Kind of sums it up well.

Well I would say the mainstream Republicans want them here for cheap labor.  The more conservative, and libertarian leaning Repubs do not want illegal immigrants here.  As Trump said, either we have a country or we don't.  A country with open borders is not a country.  It is a land mass with stuff in it.

I have my issues with Trump, but I'm really glad he's brought illegal immigration into the forefront.

Mendoza needed to include republicans in her complaint or else be accused of being an uncle (aunt) tom.

That's a well worn lie propagated by left leaning pundits to try to act as if they are painting a balanced picture.  Yes, Democrats want, expect and generally receive the illegal votes.  But I don't believe Republicans in any great numbers want the cheap labor any more than Democrats do.  I know many liberals that are happy to employ illegal lawn care and domestic help and they brag about the great job they do for very little pay.

I don't know, John.  The U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and thus the GOP Establishment, are all supportive of "Immigration Reform" a/k/a amnesty.

This is a big issued dividing the Republican Party.  The establishment wants illegal immigration for cheap labor, and also wants to continue the big government, deficit spending almost in lock step with the Democrats.  They talk a good game, but in the end support the status quo.  The conservative group of Republicans want to blow it up, and actually be conservative.  This includes fiscal responsibility, and closed borders.  We'll see who wins.

I'll bet you a coke it will be the establishment and we'll continue on this carousal until our collapse.
