The evidence is now shown. This is not hearsay, not fake news, not unsourced leaks. This is an email chain released by Donald Trump Jr. himself. A British go-between writes that there’s a Russian government effort to help Trump Sr. win the election, and as part of that effort he proposes a meeting with a “Russian government attorney” possessing damaging information on Hillary Clinton.
I wonder how badly the press will go after President Pence.

I think Krauthammer likes to be a contrarian now, and then to stand out. However, he is an establishment Republican and inside the beltway swamp member. Trump isn't going anywhere, but if Pence were President the Media would ride him just like Bush. Pence would cozy up to the establishment Republicans and we'd get even more big government, and continue the unsustainable social welfare state, and PC SJW culture.

Let's use a little exercise here. Let's say the progressives get their wet dream and succeed at getting a legitimate president removed from office because they don't like him.
The moment after Pence takes the oath of office, Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi would demand to have a say in who he selects as Vice President. Of course, Ryan and McConnell would just cower in the corner and say nothing.
Now the progressives would demand a "moderate" to be selected. And of course, the argument be made since Hillary got more votes in the last election she should be selected. The establishment republicans and the democrats would be all for this, to "bring the country together".
Within 5 minutes of Hillary being sworn in as VP, the MSM will find evidence that Pence has "colluded" and "conspired" with, you guessed it, the Russians. A new special council will be appointed ( a progressive, of course) and the MSM will go 24/7.
Eventually Pence will be removed and say hello to President Hillary!

The results of people like Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell in leadership. And of course the whole lot that are in reality the republican arm of the democrat party.

I'm actually all for that. I want a competitive third party so badly. Unfortunately, I'm pessimistic that the current structure even makes that possible.

Would love to see a viable third party. The fireworks would be something to behold! If you believe that the Republicans and Democrats go at each other with gusto, just wait to see how they would unite against a third party!!

I think the timing is right.
Concede the Republican party to the far right radicals. They are a loud vocal minority that probably makes up about 15% of the population, at most.
Concede the Democrat party to the Sanders/Socialist, violent protesting group. They are probably another 15% so both ends of the Bell Curve are marginalized.
The remaining 70% in the middle can join the new party.

...and the ultimate circle jerk would be non-stop as the new party would instantly become a battleground so heated that the current toxic conditions seem like a spring day in the park.
The fight for supremacy between the Lindsey Graham faction and..... oh, yeah. There are almost ZERO moderate democrats currently holding seats.
